It was more a response to the unproven part of your argument, which i keep hearing over our signings but never over Swansea's, apart from De Guzman and Shelvey they are all unproven.

I think we may well be paying a little over the odds for these players but we have only just come up andI think we have to put a bit more down on players to be competetive in the market.

our problem al is we are now a top half premier league team and we now have to compete with the other top half teams financially and in our search for players but sir huw won't spend what he hasn't got so it's all good at the moment

not really in these recent times , the main thing that caught out foreign players was the physical side of the game and even playing surfaces , these thing aren't an issue in the modern game and we are now trying to play their continental style (well some of us are)

Still plenty of flops coming in. I think one of the most difficult aspects of the Premier League is the fact that we tend to buy from foreign countries more than anyone so the mix of styles is probably the largest out of all the european leagues. Other leagues have a much larger proportion of homegrown players so imo, the Premier League is still the most difficult to shine in.
