Malky Mackay says he hopes to talk to Tom Ince shortly as Cardiff look to wrap up an £8million deal for the Blackpool winger.
The Bluebirds are thought to have had their offer for the England Under-21 international accepted by the Seasiders at the weekend and are now hopeful of sitting down with Ince to discuss terms.

Swansea and Liverpool were both thought to be keen on the 21-year-old but Cardiff are leading the race for his signature after indicating they are willing to match his demands for a contract worth £35,000-a-week.

The two parties are yet to talk face-to-face due to Ince having been on international duty with the England Under-21s before he went on his summer holiday.
Mackay is eager to sit down with exciting youngster and hopes his vision for Cardiff City will persuade him to sign.

"Thomas has been on holiday, so that's what's happened. It won't be long until we get the chance to sit down with him and his family," Mackay told Wales Online.

"It's always the player's decision; clubs can accept bids from anyone but at the end of the day it's always the player's decision.

"What you have got to do is get the chance to talk to them and for that to happen the club have to accept your offers.

"If I'm able to sit down. I talk to them about the vision we've got here and the way we've structured the club and the massive benefits that I see in coming to Cardiff City."

And he is still only 22 so even though the transfer fee is high - I think he will be well worth the money. Not sure about Tom Ince though. £8 million is too steep for me. Lets get a pacey winger for £2 million who can improve instead. Thinking about our potential starting XI i have goosebombs. Let's make it happen and finish in the top 15 and see the freaking Jacks sent back to the Championship - where we all know they belong!

Cardiff City made a bid of £10m for the player and as we now know got turned down but do not be surprised if an offer of £11m is accepted (if the figure is announced should the move be finalised) even though Southampton had an offer accepted of £12m.

Celtic accept that Wanyama is on the move and our club is confident they can secure the players signing.

Tom Ince, again it was said that we are confident that a deal is highly likely and that it is hoped to be completed by early next week. I was told that figure being bandied about is not correct and it is lower than £8m.

It has been reported that Swansea were in for Ince but I was told that it was nonsense and that Swansea have made no bid at all for the player.

I bumped a thread a day or so ago that I created on June 1st that we were looking at a player from Saint Etienne and in conversation I brought up the twitter rumour that we had bid £10m for Zouma, I was told that Zouma is a player that we have tracked but no bid had been made.

The other player spoken about was Cardozo and I asked if we have made a bid and the reply was that we had not and that the story came from foreign media asking Malky if he was aware of the player and his thoughts about him, from Malky's response a story was made.

John Brayford's name was mentioned to me today as well but not that a bid has been placed or anything just that he is a player on the radar still.

On the whole the conversation was encouraging and left me feeling positive that Wanyama and Ince will sign for the club, as I know things can and often do change quickly in football but I am confident of those two signing.

Rumblings that the Ince deal could be off *Exclusive*!

 He is not trying to mislead people over these and some of us do not get to sit in front of computers, TV etc all day. So they are helpful and as you say enjoyable to read (even if it is only his opinion).
