Re: BLUEBIRDS UNITE Merchandise

Thu Jul 04, 2013 12:22 pm

I am 100 per cent Pro Blue, and always have been . I do go to games but wear Blue and have neverbought any red merchandise or any merchandise with that beer mat badge on.

I do however have some questions. What happens to the money raised in the name of BU. Who actually authorises and agrees where the money is spent . Does anybody get paid from monies collected or is it ALL used to promote the cause of chnging back to Blue?

You're perfectly right to ask these questions. All I will say is that from what I can gather & ill be able to inform you a lot more soon) is that every penny raised will go towards promotion of blue. This could take many different variations, but the one I DO really like the sound of it the blue scarf initiative. Everyone receives a free blue scarf upon entry to stadium.

This will take a lot of money though. I can safely say that nobody in BU will be profiting from it.

I thought the club owned thatbluebird image and that's why Karl couldn't use it on his top? Or is that a different one?

Excellent , Thankyou for answering my questions. I am pro Blue and will be happy to donate to the cause. I already have two Tshirts , but will buy more merchandise in the future. Keep up the good work BU.
As an aside, if it was me I wouldnt use the word PROTEST, as that causes confrontation, which in my opinion will never work with MR Tan . I would use the word CAUSE. Petty I know but just an opinion.

It's registered as a charity so they don't have to pay vat.

It's healthy to ask questions and raise concerns that ordinary Bluebirds like the majoiry of us want addressing.

Just bought my t-shirt and will wear with it pride. I think the blue shirts in the crowd this season are going to increase and present very interesting viewing when they are beamed back to our Malaysian friends.

The name implies that they will unite all Bluebirds, I don't think they will. In fact I think it's only making things worse.

Do you think that all who wear red are not Cardiff City fans ?

As a Cardiff City fan I'm not happy that the Bluebird is on their merchandise, that should be used by the club only.

Re: BLUEBIRDS UNITE Merchandise

Thu Jul 04, 2013 9:09 pm

The bluebird belongs to the club? Rubbish. The word club must surely mean that it belongs to its members. This is the whole point that our Malaysian friends just don't get. It's just a business to them not a club so can't agree.

I cannot see the club allowing this on its grounds so I would imagine it will happen outside each entrance to the car park where the club has no authority.
