I would suggest that a retraction and an apology to Mr Guy might be appropriate. Some of the statements you made could have been construed not only to be insulting but also libelous. I hope, for your sake, that Paul Guy does get hold of a transcript of your posts or you might find yourself in a spot of bother.

Last night there was a thread created by myself that turned into a farce.

The intention of the thread was simply to say that a director was no longer appointed by the club and the paperwork was filed at Companies House on Monday.

Unfortunately I reacted to a reply in the thread and allowed my personal feelings to take over and became involved in a debate that would not have taken place had I not made an impulsive comment in reaction to another post.

The thread then turned into something else.

I have always tried to maintain a certain behaviour on the message board and have constantly advised friends not to react and not to become involved in mud slinging on here and maintain the moral ground but last night I should have heeded my own words.

I made a mistake last night and there was certainly an error of judgement on my part, which I hope will not happen again.

Have you apologised to Steve yet?

Carl i don't really know what got you in deep water or whatever, but i will say this, in your endeavour to provide us with inside information, you have probably upset a few people at our club on the way . Normally I would agree with you cos a lot of mud always gets slung on messageboards.

Obviously you wouldnt expect PMG or Paul Guy to chase Carl for financial compensation but the difference here mate
is that Carl is a figurehead these days of the messageboard and a column writer for the South Wales Echo and is obviously now well known who a lot of people listen to.

This was also all over twitter, facebook and bother messageboards and even fans who dont read the boards were hering about it.

You could say that what he wrote could cause personal embarrassment and cast doubt upon their ethics and character both personally and as a business of PMG.

If it was me I wouldnt care how rich I was I would want an apology and a withdrawal of the statement(s) assuming they are untrue

I reckon Carl has already apologized to them privately anyway and fair play to him for that

I don't see any apology, just an acknowledgement that you reacted to a post inappropriately.

It's a long way off apologising for making what appeared to be libelous comments.

Some if your statements were clearly inaccurate and defamatory, so you should apologise for the content, not just your poorly judged reaction.

You're still not big enough to admit your comments were wrong, or to apologise to Steve or Paul Guy directly, and I believe you have lost a hell of lot of respect as a result of all this.

At least the poorly disguised agenda on this forum has been exposed for what it is.

Why don't you try posting more of your personal thoughts about the team, tactics and club affairs in general rather than just posting third hand gossip? Do you actually have any opinions of your own?
