Use of private messaging to sell things

In my inbox of my p.m. on here I have 4 new messages.

One of them is pushing a book about last season , the other 3 are exactly the same thing pushing sales of Annis` biography.

I haven`t asked for any of the above so why is the p.m. system being used for such blatant uninvited marketing?

Its the same thing. 4 lines of you plugging yourself everytime you post is no different to getting an inbox.

Takes the same amount of time to delete a spam email as it does to scroll past you plugging yourself.

Double standards are rife on this thread.

I personally cannot see how having a PM about books is anything to worry about. Yes, I received 3.. When I received them, I just assumed Annis had made an error and left it there. Didnt think twice to get annoyed or upset about it.

When I seen a flash for "3 new messages" I assumed I was in trouble again.

When I clicked on my inbox and seen they were from Annis with the title "Till October" I thought oh no what have I done again and was being banned until October.

When I opened it and it was the sale of some books I was dissapointed more than anything

How dare he advertise his own books on his own messageboard!!!!

it's Annis' site, he can do what he want with the messaging service!
