Any sources that back your theory up regarding shirt sales or are you shit stirring again in time for the new season? I want blue back but Cardiff fans aren't stupid, there was plenty of red shirts on display last season and I expect more will be seen this season as the plastic army treble in number.

Yes well there was no organised Blue last season.

Why have you all got your head in the sand regarding the popularity of the red? It was a massive hit with the fanbase, young and old. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw all the red merchandise being warn by people, even blokes I stood with on the Bob bank were wearing it. It's beyond.

Am I the only realist posting on here at the moment? Red clearly not going away. Tans not going away. The only way he will go away is when we as a fanbase stop buying tickets yet that will only happen when we get relegated and the fickle bunch on here don't renew because we aren't premier league.

Agree.

A young lad walked in my pub last week wearing the new red shirt and to be honest it didn't look bad and a lot better than it looked from the photos i have seen on line. I personally hate the re brand and spoke to the young lad and his mother and told them that i hated the Red shirt and would never wear it.

However despite the fact I have supported City over 40 years there was no doubt that this young lad was also a passionate City fan and was proud to wear the CURRENT colours we play in and that is his choice and one I respect. :old:

To go back to the OP I totally agree that if we were still in Blue shirt sales would be through the roof by now and i would love to see the Club release the Red & Blue shirts for sale at the same time and then make a comparison of sales

Don't expect a reply mate, bluebird37 doesn't do replies!

I wont agree or disagree with you.

This coming season will tell us if red is popular or not. Red is not going away because Tan is still here. However at least the blue will be able to make a constructive stand this season unlike last season where it was waved away by fee giveaways.

We will get a good idea soon how popular this rebrand is.

It doesn't take a genius to work out that home blue shirts would massively out sell red ones. Even a reluctant red like me would prefer a blue shirt whole heartedly.

However, in the grand scheme of things our 'superstore' is a very small revenue stream compared with PL and other advertising/sponsorship revenues.

Selling a few 1000 shirts is not that important to Tan everyone knows that but some try to make out it is..

People are making out that Tan will hate us all wearing blue. Fact of the matter is if he hated it that much he wouldn't be selling a blue away kit. As long as the team play in red the what we wear isn't of any concern, our money is.
