Re: Bad feeling about Tom Ince

Swansea have joined the race to sign in-demand winger Tom Ince from Blackpool.

Sky sources are reporting that talks are underway between the two clubs over the possible transfer of the England U21 international.

However, Premier League new boys Cardiff are also in the running to sign Ince, having tabled a bid believed to be in the region of £8m for the 21-year-old.

Ince's father Paul is the manager of Blackpool and said on Sunday: "Cardiff have come in massively for Thomas and the chairman has accepted their offer

"But Thomas loves it here and has told me he's in no rush to leave the club.

"I think it's 50/50 at the moment. It's a tricky one for me. Ideally you want your son to be playing in the Premier League, but you also want him to be playing for you."

Exactly. I dont know what planet some people are on.

Its a big move for the kid. he is 21 years old, being touted as a future England international, hes obviously heard of interest from bigger clubs than Cardiff City (albeit this may just be press stories), hes got to move a long way from home, and he obviously needs to be right in his own mind he is making the right decision.

Gone are the days where football teams are filled with local talent and the clubs are owned by the the local butcher, baker, candlestick maker.

I agree you can't blame ince. A player only makes two or three moves in his career before his value/wages drop. If a club like everton or spurs came in the kid would be an idiot not to listen. I don't blame his agent for trying to get the best deal for him either, that's his job.

But just as ince is entitled to get the best deal so are cardiff, and though imo he'd improve us and is much better player than cowie or conway, at the prices banded about i just can't see him being anywhere near worth it.
