:? I don't recall that. I recall Ledley doing a great job for us until his contract expired & leaving to further his career.

Equating the scottish league with furthering a career is a bit tongue in cheek I feel. Top players want to be in the PL but I guess Joe wasn't good enough so went for cash.

I don't. He's played in Champions League & won silverware.. How is that not furthering his career? :laughing6:

I feel the PL is a better step forward than going north of the border for all the reasons I gave earlier, to each his own.

But you also said he should stay with Champions league rather than a relegation battle in the Premier League. I think the Champions "League" is more of a cup run than a league and that the PL offers way more value to a player in presenting himself on the world stage.

.put city in Welsh league they will win silverware and play champ league! Celtic in spl is same equation . Crap league you do not go to spl to further your career, play champ league yes as Celtic got nobody standing in their way to qualify year on year.

Where did I say this? All I did was ASK a question.. Didn't say say he SHOULD do anything. Learn to read.

Personally, I'd say that a move to a premiership would be better for him, but can understand him staying for CL. :D

Oh dear Allan, you're not reading well are you? Ledley moving from Championship side Cardiff to SPL & Champions League side Celtic is a furthering his career.

Why is Champions League such a fuss there? They won't get further than the last 16.

fascinating how many myths of the Riddler era are still around...

- there was NO offer from Stoke (all press-speculations, Riddler wanted Stoke to make an offer)
- there was NO contract offer from Cardiff (Riddler-lie, we had no money, couldnt sign any players)

therefore Ledley took the best offer and signed for Celtic. He is a full-pro, nothing wrong with that...

Dando really specialises in talking absolute bollocks on this forum.

If you need to come on here and look at porn to get your thrills, fill your boots.

Although, if I was gay (which I'm not) why would it be the big issue that you're trying to make it?

Your rubbish attempts to WUM this board are bordering on cringeworthy, so I'm going to add you to my ignore list.

Chuckles, I don't think it's fair to sum up life in the Premier league as just "a relegation battle". Even if CCFC is in that position playing in the PL also affords all the other benefits such as testing yourself against quality opposition EVERY WEEK, being seen on TV in many countries EVERY WEEK, being in front of the PL's top managers EVERY WEEK.
Basically it's a more frequent and consistent shop window for a player.

I didn't sum up "life in the premier league"

I summed up what our next season will be, a relegation battle.

I don't think its safe to assume we are going to be in a relegation battle next season.

We were top of the championship from November through to the last game - not something all premier league teams could do.

Look at west ham - Finished 3rd in the championship but survived in the premiership very comfortably this season.

I am not saying by any means the Prem is going to be easy, or that we will definitely finish top half of table. But i don't think that the most we can hope for is avoiding relegation.
