I don't recall that. I recall Ledley doing a great job for us until his contract expired & leaving to further his career.
Equating the scottish league with furthering a career is a bit tongue in cheek I feel. Top players want to be in the PL but I guess Joe wasn't good enough so went for cash.

I don't. He's played in Champions League & won silverware.. How is that not furthering his career?

I feel the PL is a better step forward than going north of the border for all the reasons I gave earlier, to each his own.

Where did I say it wasn't? All I stated was that him moving to Celtic was a step up in his career.. Which is correct.

Where did I say this? All I did was ASK a question.. Didn't say say he SHOULD do anything. Learn to read.![]()
Personally, I'd say that a move to a premiership would be better for him, but can understand him staying for CL.

Who in their right mind would turn that opportunity down for trips to Old Trafford, The Emirates and Anfield?
To play devil's advocate, why would he turn down Champions League football for a relegation battle?
Why is Champions League such a fuss there? They won't get further than the last 16.

therefore Ledley took the best offer and signed for Celtic. He is a full-pro, nothing wrong with that...

Chuckles, I don't think it's fair to sum up life in the Premier league as just "a relegation battle". Even if CCFC is in that position playing in the PL also affords all the other benefits such as testing yourself against quality opposition EVERY WEEK, being seen on TV in many countries EVERY WEEK, being in front of the PL's top managers EVERY WEEK.
Basically it's a more frequent and consistent shop window for a player.
I didn't sum up "life in the premier league"![]()
I summed up what our next season will be, a relegation battle.
