Not sure where this news come from but until he signs on the dotted line anything can happen, agents are renowned for starting rumours to get better deals for their clients...I hope this is not another agent playing games.would love it if he signed but if he did not sign and the offer is a genuine one then we look like we mean business at any rate just have to target other players and that sort of spending power will get us players for sure.

Hopefully we can sort the personal terms out asap before another club submits an offer.

Your right , it may not be Southampton we have to worry about .
Liverpool have thrown their hat in the ring.

A replay of his match against Barcelona in the Champions League just came on here in the States. Just saw his goal. He looks like a quality player from what I can see. Plus, I always trust in Malky. :malky: :ayatollah:

If they both come off, I will be a very happy young man :D

And I would say it is safe to say that we will spend more than £25m too.

Carl how did the talks go with ince?? :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

My only worry, Ince and Wanyama = £18m

If the quoted £25m is true, that leaves us with just £7m to strengthen our defence which IMO is a priority. We need a CB, RB and possibly even a LB. It looks as if Curtis Davies is going to Hull. So where does that leave us?

Fantastic news :ayatollah:

I just hope that we don't regret to spend that amount of money on one player

£7m is still a good amount of money. We can get 2 quality defenders with that money. We spent around 10m on strengthen the squad last season.

Went and had a look on the man utd and liverpool transfer forums when this site was down and both are surprised their clubs haven't made a bid for wanyama, whilst both think ince is an overrated puff of smoke.

Got to say I agree. The celtic lad would be a magnificent signing.

According to various reports the England U-21 winger maybe on the move after his club Blackpool agreed a fee of around £8 million for him with Cardiff, a far cry from the teams he’s previously been linked with.

Liverpool, Tottenham and Inter Milan have all apparently registered an interest in the winger in the past, but it looks like Cardiff are the first to move for Paul Ince’s son. With the newly promoted side looking to splash out and give themselves a fighting chance of survival come next season, Thomas Ince might not be a bad signing whatsoever, especially for the money we’re talking here. Wilfried Zaha’s move saw him leave Selhurst Park for around £15 million, but looking at stats Ince was the better of the two last season, goals, assists and the team he was playing in, economically Cardiff may well be getting themselves a gem for a bargain.

With a total of 18 goals last season, all coming in the Championship, opposed to Zaha’s six, Ince on the goal scoring front is miles ahead. Similar positions, similar players, it mystifies me how a player like Ince is being touted around for so much less than Zaha, Cardiff have surely got a bargain. So with a fee agreed for Blackpool with Cardiff, his future move may not be that straight forward, surely the interest from the bigger boys hasn’t dried up and they’re just waiting in the wings? But seeing the player once discarded by Liverpool, is something that pleases football fans all over the country, but whether it is Cardiff his immediate future lies, will play out in due course.

I havent seen much of the Celtic lad but i'm sure United were linked with him in January for 10 million. 2 young players which means IF they do sign then there could well be large sell on fees later on

What kind of quality are we going to get for 5mil ?

We have way more than £25Mill if Malky wants it :ayatollah:

Who told Carl our offer was accepted then? Has our bid been accepted or not? Have Celtic changed their mind and decided to hold out for a better offer?

If we can land these 2 then that would be 2 good signings. Makes me think if we buy these 2 I can see playing 4-5-1 with Wanyama and gunner as defensive midfielders and Kimbo more attacking with Bellers and Ince on the wings. Can't really see us playing 2 up top next season.

Sure even though I was a season ticket holder and went to most away games  . Of course I know we played 4-5-1 during the end of last season. I was trying to make the point that with all this talk of a big striker e.g. Gomis etc. to support Maynard, Campbell I can't see us playing 2 up top so that would mean that one or both of them may miss out regularly
