Couldn't be further from the truth. Ask the guy who runs this MB, he knows that I'm blue through and through.

Personally, I'm not a fan of SCFC at all but I would be lying if I told you that I wouldn't like to see us mirror what they did financially in their first season in the PL. They got it right. Let's do the same.

why so negative?

Negative?

I don't like the rebrand, that's a fair point, never hidden the fact, but it's hardly negative to suggest that in order to safeguard the clubs future, City manage their budget sensibly next season.

The huge PL revenue that will flood into the club shortly could set up Cardiff City's long term future.

What is negative about suggesting that that money is spent wisely to ensure that the clubs future is safeguarded?

There is nothing negative about suggesting that money is spent wisely but he has leapt on unproven rumours from Message Board sites to justify his view City are spending recklessly. We HAVEN'T spent a penny yet.

The stadium expansion and training ground are being paid for from the £100m investment by VT, that is NOT mentioned any where.

Mate, hate to burst your bubble but the '£100m' investment ain't a gift, it's a loan. Charged at 7% apparently

I thought everybody realised that a long time ago, tbh.

The indications are that City will spend recklessly. Look, most clubs on gaining promotion to the PL don't immediately announce plans to extend the stadium significantly, they wait a year or two until they've established themselves.

I'll concede that the transfer targets City are linked with are just that, at the moment, players linked with the club and nothing more.

I reckon with 2 or 3 decent signings, City will stay up just fine. Trying to 'do a QPR' and spunking huge money on transfers and wages will, in all likelihood, see Cardiff City on its arse again in a year or two.

Whatever my thoughts on the rebrand, City have real potential to be a decent Top 10 PL team in years to come but just throwing vast sums of money at it, will, in my opinion, see the club come a cropper.

And as much as it appears to be heresy to some of you, the Jacks, Norwich and West Brom show the route to travel, especially when you're up to your bollocks with debt, like City are.

If you genuinely cant grasp that, then theres really not much more to add.

Why do you need tans 'investment' ro build infrastructure when your turnout will go to about 85m next year. We have paid for a 6m training facility for our junior teams and the same again for our senior facility (still in construction) if we do expand then again it will be paid for by profits not borrowed money. Maybe that's what the article was getting at.
