Following your logic, if only people who have been going for years should be able to get a ticket, then we'll be back to the days of 5000 attendances at home - and i've been there, a home and away supporter for over 30 years, though not as regular as some supporters - thats just the way it is.

If what carl suggests is true then fans who went to a certain amount of matches last year get priority for 1st few games of this season (which is fair enough) but then other away games priority goes to people who have gone to 1st few away matches (which by logic will be the same people offered West Ham tickets) so basically in this free market when all is equal and 20,000 plus have shelled out on a season ticket, around 17000 of those have no chance of getting an away match ticket, and as for Gold members, it may as well be called 'f**k you but thanks for your £40 anyway' membership.

20 something thousand people who have paid the same price on their season tickets deserve equal chance of getting tickets, whether you like it or not (as when selling these season tickets no form of priority is mentioned in terms and conditions) so the club 'could' be taken to court if they alter this stance.

Also in another post on this thread it's suggested that just being on Carls bus will get you a ticket. Just stinks of 'inner circle' favouritism and total inequality over how many games some may have gone to last season.

The club, selling the dream of Premiership football, have said that Season Ticket holders have priority on away match tickets and to add at a later date the caveat of previous attendance at away games giving 'extra' priority would be a breach of contract / terms and conditions of sale.

You've got to be on a wind up.

The club has used this system for years for away tickets so it's not like season ticket holders didn't know what would hap
It's a fair way of do

It wouldn't be fair if someone who did 10 aways last season missed out on Man Utd away cos Johnny Prawn and his kid with no aways got in there first.
If we go down you can bet Johnny Prawn and son won't be getting down to Yeovil and Bournemouth the following season.

Unless a Gold Member wins the 1 in 20 lottery for a match day ticket probably the only advantage of Membership is the point you raise i.e. first on the list for season tickets after stadium expansion.

I wouldn't qualify for away day tickets (only 1 away game last season) but I am a season ticket holder.

I totally disagree that I should have the same right to tickets as someone who travelled to more away games last season. I'm at a loss where you get "deserve" a fair chance from as both you and me had plenty of chances to travel away last season but didn't, so why would we "deserve" tickets over those who did?

As for "terms and conditions" the club can set what T & C's they like providing they don't discriminate against protected groups e.g. Race, Disability, Gender etc.

Season Ticket Holders who didn't travel away to enough games last season are unfortunately for you NOT a protected group by law. Also the club is not breaking any contract because the contract on Season Tickets is to provide entry to 19 HOME games, not away.

Finally as for travel on Carl's coaches I would guess that there are those who do qualify for away tickets who purchase but can't attend. These tickets might then get passed onto someone who hasn't qualified. Whether you agree with the fairness of that is really immaterial as anyone would look after their mates before a complete stranger.

That's the way the world is.
