Craig Bellamy buys

Craig Bellamy has bought the freehold property known as the Philharmonic public house/club in St Mary Street Cardiff City Centre.
The cost is to be believed to be around £900,000. There are major structural problems,which is why its been closed for so long, which are estimated at £300,000.
Bellamy is believed to have bought the property to eventually open as a up market night club at an estimated cost of £500,000.

Yes I was a regular too - Theo the original owner sadly passed away at a very young age, just before it moved accross the road. I was working the clubs in the late 70's early 80's and always ended up in the Taurus.

It'll be good to see a bit more street-level activity on that part of St Mary's Street. I'm sure SWP will find some grounds to try and oppose any changes to planning/alcohol license
