Some of us believe that vincent tan has a lot to offer the club and believe that he is not all bad like some would push us to believe. I remember coming on this board one summer when risdale was at the helm and being told we were days away from liquidation. I remember that guy from motherwell coming on sky sports caning us saying we owed them money. Our club was an absolute mess. Now the club is being run better than ever. Only a few weeks ago dave jones was about to come out grizzling to the press but the club immediately resolved the situation and he went away saying how professionally the matter was dealt with.
we have academy 2 status, new training facilities about to be announced, Serious negotiations with langston, we are attracting top quality players, we have a worldwide scouting network and a WAITING LIST FOR SEASON TICKETS. I remember a time when I didnt have to wait to get in when I arrived at the turnstile at five to three!

Look there are things that could be improved and I think public relations with our own fanbase should be top of the agenda. We have been arguing with each other for over a year whether tan has a plan which is the reason for turning red, I truly believe he would be better off saying whether he has or whether he just thinks it's lucky.

I do think he was wrong changing the colour and alienating some fans and I think it was even worse the way the whole thing was handled.

However I do have reservations about bluebirds unite. I may be completely wrong and they may prove me wrong but I have heard so much about gwyn and the bullies on both messageboards yet I have witnessed far more bullying and intimidation on these messageboards during the last year.

my concern is that if bluebirds unite continues to multiply then soon there will be an element calling those who do choose to wear red 'wankers' 'sell outs' etc and it will be anarchy again.

personally I would admire a group who would campaign for us to return to blue without alienating our owner or fellow cardiff fans but I do worry that this will never be the case.

Be great if Tan stayed and we continued our success as the club we all fell in love with Cardiff City Bluebirds.

It should never be a choice between him and or our identity :sad7: But for many maitianing our clubs identity is important. Success at all costs should not be the case :)

I've always called for peaceful action against the "rebranding".BU has my support 100%.But one thing i don't want is to drive tan away, rebranding aside i think he's been great for City.

For the record
I was at last nights meeting and did not hear anyone saying anything about not going to games
In fact it was said that the best thing to do was to go to games but to wear blue
No one was asking for tan out ,,, no one was calling those fans who wear red anything bad
Imo it is bluebirds unite intention to create as much support from members wearing blue on mass
The more that turn up in blue the more attention we will get
Finally one small point I have bought the home and away kit plus the third kit for many years but since the coluor change I have only bought the blue away kit , does tan realise if our home kit was blue and our away kit was red I would be happy to buy both again ,,, I wonder how many of you would be like minded,,, and how much money the club is losing :ayatollah:

Totally agree. the man has saved the club from liars frauds and cheats that came b4 him. But he has been a right cock
over this rebrand. In Britain you dont have to stand tall but most people DO stand up. Money and power is the absulute ruler in Malasia no problem that ok its there culture but here people fight strike demonstraite kick off and protest when they not happy. his threats to leave las season have festerd with many and red tuesday was the kind of in your face bribery that is normal in his part of the world. not here!! he has made this rod for his own back all he got to do is pick up the phone and tell the club 'blue shorts and socks' and a blue away kit. not even much of a compromise for him. unless he really does wnat to run this club like a dictartorship and if he does then we will soon know. plenty in BU will not be happy with that cos they demanding the blue home kit, but i can tell you now it WILL be acepted as about the best we culd expect by the vast majoroty. if he ignores this now i predict more who have acepted the red will start to think 'who the f**k do he think he is'

Good point. You must chose your battles wisely though.

There were over 600 fans who turned up on a Tuesday night in a pub to show their Support for Bluebirds Unite, they had 300 for their first meeting 2 weeks ago.
In 10 days approx 5,500 sign a petition and in a month 2,400 aprox join the group and remember not everyone looks on this forum and fb. This group is growing rapidly and has an excellent Spokesperson/leader in Sian Branson who I am fully behind. They have already putting together a committee of about 20 fans who can give a lot of time and can help organise things for Bluebirds Unite.THey are now getting plenty of publicity.

Mistakes will be made along the way, but they will be corrected. The aim of the group is to keep our identity alive and keep the Club aware that We want it back, we have no intentions of hurting our club. The Group stands for one thing only restoring Cardiff City's identity/Colour and reminding everyone about it and at the same time it is making a lot of fans proud again who are involved in it and that includes myself.

No Bluebirds Unite will not be joining the Trust, the Trust is welcome to Support Bluebirds Unite and its aims. Bluebirds Unite welcomes all City fans who want our Identity back and are willing to show that by wearing the Blue at home and away games and not endorsing the Red by buying it and wearing it. There will be no belittling of other fans, all we want is Cardiff City to be Blue again and our fans to wear it with Pride.

Yes a march will be organised and I will anticipate that 3,000- 4,000 will join it,a big high profile game will be chosen, so the World will see it on TV. I would like more, but who knows.
Why dont you all give this group a chance, they have harmed no one, they just believe like myself that Cardiff City should be BLUE. Thats All I have ever known and that to me is Our Identity. BLUEBIRDS.

I cant be bothered having arguments/debates about it, your either with us or not, My stance has never changed, I am BLUE end Off and I want my club have to its True Identity returned, the one I have only ever known. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
:ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Annis, as you have just rowed in behind this group how come you are on the head table?

Who elected you and is this a self appointed group?

A committee of 20? Weren't you and others slagging the trust off for committes and sub committees etc?

Why didn;t you get behind the trust ....was it because you weren't on the top table?

First of all I did join the Trust for 2 years and I felt they were going no where, all talk and no action and achieve nothing in my opinion, so I never renewed for a 3rd year.

I was not on the top table at Bluebirds Unite, there was no top table. Sian on the night asked me to speak and I accepted, were all equal in Bluebirds Unite.Sian runs the show and we support her. I joined by the way right at the begining because I believe in Sian and her passion. I was happy when they removed some of their slogans like against modern football etc as all I want is our Identity back end off. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
