I'm firmly pro-blue, but using terms such as "true bluebirds" doesn't help the cause at all.. It just adds to the divide mate..
Get what your saying mate, but didn't mean it in that context, there's plenty of other true bluebirds out there that didn't attend, I know a fair few myself, but I can safely say every person in the pub tonight were true bluebirds.
I know mate, but some fans could read it that you were suggesting that "red" fans weren't real bluebirds... Just giving you the heads up.![]()
I was proud to be there tonight.
Judging by the numbers I bet a few fans like yourself who are really serious were happy with the turn up.
Things like tonight will maybe cause less arguements as lot of fans have been posting their opinion on the rebrand and you can notice the dissapointment from people who are full pro blues as you would call them because a lot of people have been knocking them down so now people like Bakes will be more upbeat and positive as there is a lot of people slightly changing past few weeks.
Let's hope so! There's a lot of members that have got into pointless and childish arguments (me included!!) which is only down to one thing.. We are all passionate for CCFC... Plus there's nothing else to talk about.

Cardiff City fans meet to tell club: "We want blue back for Premier League"
By Simon Gaskell
11 Jun 2013
More than 600 supporters gathered at a Cardiff pub for a meeting aimed at campaigning for the return of the club's traditional colours.
Hundreds of Cardiff City fans donned blue tonight at a meeting of a new supporters’ group that says it wants the club’s identity “restored” on the Premier League stage.
Bluebirds Unite, which was formed in March, is petitioning for the return of the club’s traditional colours of blue and has already attracted support from 5,487 signatories in 10 days.
Tonight, the group held a meeting at The Corporation Hotel on Cowbridge Road East, in the Canton area of the city – attended by what the pub estimated was more than 600 supporters.
Supporters sang songs including “We’re Cardiff City, we’ll always be blue” and those in attendance said they were relieved to see a unified response to changes brought in by Malaysian benefactor Vincent Tan last summer.
Ian Hallam, 53, originally from St Athan, Vale of Glamorgan, made the trip from his home in Castle Donington, Leicestershire, especially to be there.
He said: “I struggled to enjoy last season at all. That’s all because of the rebrand and what was happening to the club.
“It’s great to see now there’s organised opposition to this.”
Bluebirds Unite founding member Sian Branson addressed congregated supporters, saying: “We feel that with Cardiff City being promoted to the Premiership and the club being on the world stage, it’s more important than ever our identity is restored.”
The meeting heard of plans to organise a committee, register the group as a charity supporting youth football, organise family days and ask for a meeting with the club.
Ms Branson said: “We are Welsh, we are the capital city of Wales and we are proud of our history, heritage and identity.
“To us, it would be like someone trying to take away the colour of the Welsh rugby jersey and badge. I appreciate we are not the national team but for a lot of us it’s as close as we get.
“I don’t think even Vincent Tan has been told exactly what it means to us.
“If he thought blue was bad luck, why would he buy a blue club?
Supporter Annis Abraham said the massive turnout had come about since the club issued supporters with 23,000 free red scarves in an orchestrated marketing move during a home game with Brighton last season.
He said: “In a way it’s the worst thing the club ever did; in another way it’s the best thing to happen – it made the blue rise. It made the blues realise they have got to stand up and be counted.”

the against modern football banners have to go in my opinion.
If we return to blue surely if your against modern football you still wont be supporting the club despite achieving your aims.
against modern football clouds the issue and will put some fans off joining the cause.

Support Cardiff City Football Club. We're Premier League and paying the bills.

I support Cardiff City not the premier league and according to the last poll done by the echo around 9000 of the supporters who sit in that ground are unhappy with the rebrand. chiefly because of the lack of consultation. dunno bout you but i dont like it wen the Club treats me like i dont exist

The fans need to come together as one during game time and show the premier league what our voices can do. Nobody can make up chants within second of an incident like city fans can, with great humour and intelligence. I hope everyone agrees with my requests! Bluebird for life

There were over 600 fans who turned up on a Tuesday night in a pub to show their Support for Bluebirds Unite, they had 300 for their first meeting 2 weeks ago.
In 10 days approx 5,500 sign a petition and in a month 2,400 aprox join the group and remember not everyone looks on this forum and fb. This group is growing rapidly and has an excellent Spokesperson/leader in Sian Branson who I am fully behind. They have already putting together a committee of about 20 fans who can give a lot of time and can help organise things for Bluebirds Unite.THey are now getting plenty of publicity.
Mistakes will be made along the way, but they will be corrected. The aim of the group is to keep our identity alive and keep the Club aware that We want it back, we have no intentions of hurting our club. The Group stands for one thing only restoring Cardiff City's identity/Colour and reminding everyone about it and at the same time it is making a lot of fans proud again who are involved in it and that includes myself.
No Bluebirds Unite will not be joining the Trust, the Trust is welcome to Support Bluebirds Unite and its aims. Bluebirds Unite welcomes all City fans who want our Identity back and are willing to show that by wearing the Blue at home and away games and not endorsing the Red by buying it and wearing it. There will be no belittling of other fans, all we want is Cardiff City to be Blue again and our fans to wear it with Pride.
Yes a march will be organised and I will anticipate that 3,000- 4,000 will join it,a big high profile game will be chosen, so the World will see it on TV. I would like more, but who knows.
Why dont you all give this group a chance, they have harmed no one, they just believe like myself that Cardiff City should be BLUE. Thats All I have ever known and that to me is Our Identity. BLUEBIRDS.
I cant be bothered having arguments/debates about it, your either with us or not, My stance has never changed, I am BLUE end Off and I want my club have to its True Identity returned, the one I have only ever known.

Last few months of last season the chants were all for the "BLUEBIRDS" "BLUE ARMY" "THE BLUES ARE GOING UP"
Tan has got no chance ever of Cardiff City supporters singing "Come on you reds" "Come on you Dragons" there may well be a percentage who want to embrace the red, new badge, new 'club' but they will be the newer supporters and i make no apologies if i make them feel awkward when i sing the Bluebird songs i been singing since i was 10!! Tan has targetted apathetic fans who arent that bothered about the blue, but at the same time they not bothered about the red either. they just want premiership football. to me thats a million miles away from being a Cardiff City fan. But i'll never abuse anyone in a red shirt, they just feel different to me

There were also many outside. Who couldn't get in due to the lack of room. Busiest I've ever seen the place.
