Gavin rae would slot in there nicely, he's an expert at passing sideways and backwards

A better quality back up goalkeeper is needed.
1 right back, 1 left back and a quality center back is also needed.
1 holding midfielder/playmaker.
2 quality strikers.

I'd send Velikonja and Gestede on loan.

At least then we would have two proper left backs, Lappin is a converted midfielder and doesn't fill me with confidence.

I'm sure there are better options than Shorey but I'd just like us to have a proper left back as back up

Ye Nicky Shorey would be a great signing. Sure he would have Hazard, Bale, Navas, Mata, Bale etccccccccccc in his pocket. LOL. Don't see why we are going for average, run of the mill players. We'll go straight back down with thinking like this. What team has bought crap that everyone is on about and stayed up?. There's being conservative, then there's being idiotic.

Did you just pick his name from a hat?

No, if you watched games in the Championship this season you would see George Friend is a hell of a left back. He's a good athlete, solid defensively, has a terrific engine and always looks dangerous bombing forwards on the overlap. He had players player of the year for Middlesbrough too. He's really impressed me as the stand out left back in the Championship this season.

Exactly Taylor could get skinned at pl level and may not be good enough, if he ain't up to it then its no good, get a quality lb in and leave Taylor battle it out for the position and if he can prove himself and be the best option then great
