For me, exactly the same plan could have been carried out in blue. No other reason for rebrand for me other than it's "lucky" and his favourite colour.

If it didn't mean something then China's streets would not be covered in red and yellow everywhere. If the appeal is enough to convince an investor to get on board because of his beliefs then happy days.

It's all do do with the ancient art of "Feng shui" a lot of top companies and celebrities use it. Including Coca Cola, McDonalds, Donald Trump, Bill Gates and Richard Branson. If you think changing to red for luck is mad have a look at some of the things these people/companies have done just to bring them better luck and business. E.g hiring feng shui masters because they were losing Asian clients. Moving the gates of Disney land(Hong Kong) 12 degrees after consulting a feng shui master. Totally crazy

Jon, I agree that no one (certainly not amongst us) appear to know but I cannot believe he doesn't have one at all and (given that I assume he has one) then he must believe in his own mind that it is the best option

I genuinely cannot believe that Tan would have taken such a huge step unless he believes what he is doing is best for the business. He won't have done it 'just to piss us off' as that would have no value at all

I may be wrong but it is why I am prepared to give him time to prove/disprove
