barnett was excellent for us... won countless headers, and always looked to find a pass from the back, never just hoofed it diagonally to the ball boy on the side..
if he was available for little i think it would be good business.

Spot on here IMO.
If you compare him with Turner, who defends well but his distribution is appalling & Nugent who at the moment is a poor player, he looks a good addition.
My only concern is that Chris Hughton (who I have a lot of respect for) obviously doesn't rate him.
However, what doesnt work for one club/manager works for another.

Norwich are looking forward now and trying to strengthen besides going for top championship players and need to up their game.

He can't get into the Norwich team when they got promoted which is worrying.
He couldnt get into the West Brom team after getting promoted with them.

We should be aiming to bring in better than a championship standard defender.

One of the best loan signings we have had and when i saw him down the city he had good distribution of the ball.

WTF?! He was outstanding every game for us!!!

That means we would have Hudson, Turner and Barnett at centre back with Connolly and Nugent as cover. Thats probably our lot in that position and not exactly filling me with confidence. All good enough to be top end championship defenders so just hope they can step up. Only Barnett has any sort of pace would be my one issue, lots of quick players in the premiership who will run rings round them.

Totally agree with that, very good in the league, however the prem is different class, we need at least one proven premiership warrior at the back

That's my point good enough for the championship not the prem. likewise Taylor. I fear for Taylor next year imo he's going to get crucified.
