What an episode, it was soul destroying even though I already knew it was going to happen.

For anyone who's read the books we all know what will happen eventually (and I'm not talking about that little shit Joffrey) and holy f**k, I can't wait for series 4. George R.R. Martin :notworthy:

A tw*t indeed.... No spoilers had been done before Mr Baker had his input. And I love posting spoilers,But the cat is out if the bag and Joffery the boy king does get killed. But fear not, the chances of it happening in the next episode are slim. They will probably set up the Royal Wedding and Banquets but not actually commit to any Murdering until season 4.

You can expect a good finale next Monday though... :ayatollah:

FAO Gareth Baker; Bad Form, Very Bad Form.. You could've put up a Spoiler slogan pre warning those who are unaware a chance to look away. But what you did was petty and childish. :old:

for me, the books take a little slide after the 3rd one, will be interesting to see how the tv show goes. and we may not have seen the last of some of the characters from last night........

It's how I thought this season might end with the Joffrey thing and then the scene with the apparition with the Brotherhood without Banners (trying to keep the spoilers from leaking out but if you've read the books hopefully you will know what I am talking about).

Its a spoiler no doubt but the TV series hasn't always stayed true to the books so I wouldn't say its 100% nailed on. At some point as well the TV series will overtake the books and have to go completely in its own direction.

TV Series finishes when the book does

The books haven't finished. There are numerous books. The TV show is based on the entire A Song Of Ice and Fire series.

The first series was based on GoT's book.
The second series was based on ACOK's book.
The third series is half of ASOS and the fourth series will be the other half.
AFFC and ADWD is rumoured to be over 2 seasons. Both are at the same time in sequence, they are not chronological but run parallel with each other.

TWOW is not out yet but will be another series.
ADOS is not out yet and will be another series again.

By the end of 2014 the fourth series will be complete and thats the third book, ASOS, done.
By the end of 2016 both the TV series of AFFC and ADWD would have been done.

There is no way in 3 years that both TWOW and ADOS will be out. The last 2 releases took 11 years to come out. Therefore the TV show will go its own way. There's also worries that GRRM wont even finish the books because of his age and health.

Plus the TV show hasn't stayed true to the books anyway. Robb Starks wife in the TV Series is different for a start and she didn't even go to the Red Wedding. Talisa isn't even in the books.

There's been loads of changes between the books and TV series. :ayatollah:

All of the main stuff stays the same though, and since it's out there now we might aswell acknowledge that Joffrey dies. I don't think his wedding will be in ep 10 though, they'll have it at the start of series 4 just to keep us waiting.

I agree with that to be fair. If episode 10 does have the Joffrey death then to be honest, that will be the big shock as normally its only episode 9 that does and then episode 10 is the come down. I wonder if HBO will go with a massive cliff hanger this time? Could be the case as series 3 and 4 are both based on ASOS, one book. :ayatollah:

if you guys are enjoying the tv series i would highly recommend getting the books. A brilliant read for the price as well, some of the chapters do drag in the first books but certainly make up for it in the later ones.i personally cant wait to see bran and arya's story unfold on screen as its got really interesting in the books.
