Don't think any one is saying that . I am now a member of both . They should work together. They have the same goal with regards to the rebrand . Unfortunately it's already been seen that any clown can press a button to join a Facebook group . I think this one is different however , everything is very well written and already seen some good constructive ideas about how to progress cause . Don't know her but we'll done to the organiser .

Think a closed group helps too . You can easily see what someone is about by having a quick gander at their profile . Some may say this is a bad thing . I disagree . The purpose of the group is obvious . If you are happy with the rebrand please don't bother . If you would like to see the club return to blue then the group is very relevant .

The problem the trust has is its internal procedures. When an issue comes up they have to go to their members and vote on it. By the time they have done this the subject has moved on. This is the main reason why the trust is not look on favourable.

Sian under BU goes ahead with ideas and puts faith in her members supporting her. Although not officially selected it is very clear her members are supporting her and I can see this group getting big. Where the trust look like they have tied their own hands together the BU don't have those constraints and will get things done which is what the majority of us have been waiting for.

If all 2000 plus are genuine Cardiff City Fans surely the best way forward would be to join the trust. A trust with 3000 plus members would be just the platform to lobby the Club with strength, while at the same time retain the integrity of an official Body. Message board, Splinter Groups, or any stand alone entity stand little chance. After all the Trust have made it clear they stand in the Blue Corner, and yes I am a Trust member.

What have the trust vowed to do? Nothing, other than a couple of press releases "urging" the club to change to blue.

Before any meetings are organised If this group wants to attract the full spectrum of City fans regarding the changes made (reluctant reds, not that really bothered by it reds & anti-reds) and be taken seriously they need to set out a agenda on what action they will take to bring back our traditional colours/badge. Then people who would otherwise would be instantly dismissive of the whole idea can see if they want to attend the meeting and get involved

This meeting will be to discuss the agenda.

I was born in 1971, grew up in West-Germany believing there will be 2 seperate German states forever. I thought that noone would ever be able to tear the divide down.

In my time I have seen the Berlin Wall coming down, the collapse of the Iron Curtain, the end of the cold war, a ceasefire in Northern Ireland, a 16 year old ginger German winning Wimbledon, a German dominating the Formula One, Cardiff City beating one of the top European sides at the time in the FA Cup, City playing in the FA Cup Final, entering the Carling Cup Final and finally going to the Premiership as Champions...

ALL THINGS I NEVER EVER THOUGHT I WOULD SEE IN MY LIFETIME

And some on here keep telling me, "it's impossible to revert the re-brand" ????

I doubt YOU can name ONE person who WANTS to stay red because they simply DO NOT. Excellent post.

No-one wants red but 12 months ago a large majority of Cardiff City fans reluctantly accepted a rebrand in exchange for £100m investment from Vincent Tan. Of course I accept hoffmisters point that it is possible to change the terms of that investment, but only if VT agrees.

All 'reluctant reds' know that but because we don't shout our mouths off about 'being stripped of identity' somehow we are accused by the likes of JonCCFC's of "not really being City fans" (that has to be the most immature response in Message Board history)

IMO most reluctant reds understand that we will never get a reversal of the rebrand plus VT's continued support unless we work with him and lobby him in a mature grown up way. Simply filling Message Boards with 'identity stripping' quotes and declaring that 'you'll never change me from blue' will get you the grand total of f**k all.

The whole rhetoric about being 'blue forever' is pointless as nobody with real feelings for Cardiff City will ever change from being 'blue' it’s just we are more interested in the clubs well being and future rather than our own personal image preference or reputations.

That is why it is time to put this matter in the hands of the 'snobs' i.e. the elected members of the Supporters' Trust Board. Believe me it is hard for me to say that because of personal history but I can't see any other way forward it has to be through official channels because VT is too powerful and for now we can’t survive without him.

Bluebirds Unite is a brilliant concept and I hope they flourish but they can never have the credibility of the Supporters Trust. Bakedalaska made a very good point about the failings of the Supporters Trust internal working, but in this case I believe that is strength rather and a weakness as they can legitimately show recent soundings of their members as an OFFICIAL supporters group.

In any case any reversal will probably take years. Bluebirds Unite will not make any difference to that so the Supporters Trust’s slow workings aren’t really an issue.

Play this right and we’ll get blue back, carry on with the same old failed instincts and we’ll get more two-toned kits and another KCB.

Jon, you might have a point there, as its sounding that way.
Why would anyone want to mock this group are finally doing something about our TRUE IDENTITY, makes you wonder.

Whenever someone posts on here in support of blue, there are always posters on here (they know who they are) who are quick to shoot them down and it's as if they're desperate to keep things the way they are. It's pathetic and I don't know how they can call themselves City fans.

Tony,

From what I am seeing the BU are making more of a stand for the blue than the Trust has done so far.

My fear from the likes of yourself and SV is that you seem quite happy to allow Tan to carry on while he ploughs money into the club in the faith that a new owner will return us to blue. I'm very uncomfortable with that logic as sometimes you can go down a road to far to a point of no return. Not for me thanks and I will give my support to the group that will continue to fight for the blue until the battle is lost.

I read about the reluctants saying there was no one else ready to step in if Tan withdrew. Well I don't see any one else willing to support the blue unlike BU.

Got you bang to rights, JonCCFC. Hook, line and sinker; and now others can see you for the fraud that you are

What an incredibly ignorant fool you are. Best you forget University, as that is for people who can think for themselves ;)

I actually read the first line and got bored :laughing6:

The thing is, I could argue for paragraphs and paragraphs with you but I really can't be fucked as you're that boring, and to be honest you can assume whatever you want 'cause I really couldn't give a f**k

Last post for now (you can have the last word, as usual ;) ) BUT yet again you are caught out ;)

Quote: "I actually read the first line and got bored..." (Unquote) :?

Now you are a liar too! You DID read it, exactly as I said you would have!

To be fair, you cannot argue for paragraphs. You have tried that before and failed and now you say (quote) "I really don't give a f**K" (Unquote) so excuse me if I laugh out loud

You have simply NEVER given a reasoned response to my questions on exactly 'why' you are so right and that anyone who thinks differently to you are (quote again) "not City supporters" (unquote) which is a pity TBH, as I would be genuinely interested in your answers. Unfortunately, of course, you don't have any, do you? ;) :ayatollah:

Night night, JonBoy

HENCE why I said (quote) "actually" (unquote), apparently you haven't heard of exaggeration?

The FACT that you need a reasoned response to some of my posts which don't need to be explained shows how uncapable you are of working things out for yourself.

I do have an opinion, which I have shared many times on here, you're just a bit ignorant. :thumbright:

Just ask yourself this, why are you so obsessed with an 18 year old boy? Strange man. :old:

Goodnight Christopher, I win again.

Barry Chuckle wrote:Sven, normally I respect your posts, I find them entertaining & well written.. But your obsession with picking at Jon's posts a little pathetic.

Jon has a similar opinion to many on this board, myself included.. Yet it seems you go out of your way to belittle Jon for his opinions. You don't agree to them & that's your prerogative, but to get personal is wrong.. I do lose a little respect for your posts for doing so too. :(

Jon wants to see his club in their rightful colours & I'm totally with him. Respect that you are more accepting of Tan's rebrand, but not everyone is.

Barry, I thank you for your comments and (as always) respect your opinion :ayatollah:

You have to delve back a little way to understand my 'issues' with JonCCFC, although we did have a little bit of respite a few weeks ago .. To be fair, neither of us are complete tw**s and we have found common ground on occasion ;)

I don't dislike him as a person, as I don't know him, but I don't have to like the way he makes comments without backing them up either

Mind you, and oddly enough after a conversation with another well known and respected poster on this MB earlier today, I have decided enough is enough and this was going to be my final flurry where JonCCFC is concerned. I wish him no malice but I do wish he would consider his comments more before accusing people of doing exactly what he does himself ;)

With regard to the colour change, I might be 'more accepting' of it than many but that doesn't mean I wouldn't prefer to be in blue for the coming season. Put simply, I would

However, I am realistic enough to to see that VT is not going to change on that front in the foreseeable future but I am more supportive of the chances of getting the shorts and shirt trim changed to blue; if not for this season, then for 2014/15 and to that end I have written a personal letter to Vincent Tan on the subject and await a reply (not that I am confident of a response TBH but at least I have DONE something whilst others have simply bleated on about it) ;) :ayatollah:

Fair play. Glad to hear that you have written that letter too. I can imagine it is a very well written one & I hope you get some sort of reply. :ayatollah:
