and now Laudrup is supposedly as good as gone because of twitter rumours that we're going to go have a board meeting?

Must be that at this time of year Laudrup gets stroppy

Are you telling me that there was no bust up between Laudrup and senior players last summer?

Or you presumed Laudrup was going over unreliable information last season, and are doing the same today.

Yes I am, are you telling me there was a bust up between Laudrup and senior players last summer? A lot of the senior players have signed contracts since, and if there was a bust up it certainly didn't show. The likes of Tate, Moore, Lita, Gower and Bartley (and Danny Graham last season) probably don't like Laudrup, as Laudrup doesn't rate them and they're the players who'll be leaving this summer.

Michael Laudrup -
"I'm happy to be in Swansea and I'm certain that the club's board will keep the promises they made when I extended my contract," wrote Laudrup.
"Why shouldn't they do that? It's in everyone's interests, the club's, the players', the fans'.
"It's in everyone's interests to have as strong a team as possible, within the financial constraints of the club."

Laudrup's agent -
‘Michael Laudrup, just now, is very happy at Swansea City. Of course Michael has had offers from elsewhere,’ he told BBC Sport.

‘Other teams can wait one or two years. We know Michael is going to train the big teams but this is not the moment.

‘Michael doesn’t think about other teams because he promised to the players and the fans he wants to stay in Swansea.’

I think that's a bit more reliable than twitter rumours, and if the rumours are true then I think your looking a bit too much into a board meeting.

It could but you have to give them credit for their last two seasons and they will likely get quite far. it is THEN that the games will pile up.

No wonder they call it Planet Swans! Different world completely!

STFC, there are no 'publicists' bigger than football agents. They (very much like you  ) are in it for themselves and are to be taken with a pinch of salt! ;)

Laudrup has NOT committed himself to living in a caravan for another season and assuming a tempting offer is received he will be off faster than a Swansea lad on waking up to that raving beauty he picked up on The Mumbles Mile the night before!  :ayatollah:

Feeling here in Copenhagen is that he's after the national team job possibly via FC Copenhagen. Amongst Danish football fans he's pretty much a god and they've been following his progress with our Jack friends, I've been asked on many occasions where Swansea is.

The wise money though is on him taking a job in Spanish football, unfinished business or something then returning to Denmark as an "all conquering hero", they like that sort of thing. As to whether that will be this year or next? Who knows, if the right job for him comes up in spain then he's off otherwise he'll stay at the Jacks providing he gets what he's asked for, whatever that is.

Superb!! A bit like the New York American who kept suggesting the Ryder Cup was being played in Cardiff! When corrected, his response was (and I wish I could do the accent) "New-Pot? New-pot? I ain't never heared of no New-pot!"

Fella, I refer you to the MANY posts received on here since your late season run got you into the Premier League mocking Cardiff City; even though you knew deep down that your perceived 'superiority' couldn't last too long ;)

The 'turmoil' you refer to is actually a figment of your own imagination, as (to date) your team haven't really done so badly, have they? ;)

That your lot are even reacting to us says a thousand times more about YOUR insecurities than it ever does about us taking the Michael out of those Jacks who are stupid enough t come on this site

Best you concentrate on your own team, a Jack. Your manager going will surprise no-one (not outside Town Hill anyway! ) as it is now an annual occurrence BUT you current squad's rapid demise (without major investment) WILL come back to haunt you; particularly with your League of Wales-style brief sojourn into Europe playing a negative part ;)

Best you get out and cross a few palms with silver, Jack. Lots of people selling them down that part of the world :ayatollah:

And how are his comments and indication that Laudrup is going to leave? Agents are in it for themselves, but he seems happy enough for Laudrup to stay here.

Laudrup has committed himself at Swansea City next season, he recently signed a contract extension until 2015 and said he sees there being no problem in him staying next season.

It's as I said with Malky; why on Earth would he say anything until something is 100% in the offing as he risks alienating both his current Chairman and the club's fans ;)

There is no smoke without fire and even Sky Sports are not wrong all the time ;)

I guess we'll just have to watch this space but I wouldn't be comfortable if I was a Jack supporter right now; particularly as Pulis is the name on the 'insiders' lips as a replacement ;)

Apparently, it will be in an effort to connect your defence with you ailing and mis-firing attack (missing out the Ray Wilkins influenced 'square-bashing' midfield)

Michu apart for the first half of last season, thiey hardly set the league on fire, did they?

What smoke though? There is absolutely nothing to suggest that there is any problems between Laudrup and the board. All he's said is he'll stay if he's given the money to spend that he's been promised, and there's nothing to suggest that the money we've promised him isn't going to be given to him.

We finished 9th in the League last season and won the League Cup? I guess your saying your going to be able to match or dwarf that achievement next season?

Why wouldn't you be comfortable if you were a Jack supporter right now?

"I guess we'll just have to wait and see" because you haven't got any real argument to suggest he will go.

I could tell you Ronaldo is going to join Cardiff, and no matter how many valid points you could make about him not going to Cardiff, I can always throw in the "I guess we'll just have to wait and see" line as I haven't got a valid argument myself.

Only Martinez pledged his future and walked away.Rodgers said from the start he'd move on one day and did . We're fully aware at Swansea that managers move on and have got quite used to it . We're a work in progress, we can now attract top of the tree staff and players, they may well move on eventually and sometimes do but its always a result of a damn fine footballing team.As long as Huw and the rest of the staff are in place then SCFC will continue to flourish. Laudrup is just another manager passing through and anyone with an ounce of savvy should see from what's happened in the past that he'll be replaced and replaced well. And for what its worth I still think Laudrup will be at Swansea next season and all this recent speculation is no more than snowballing Internet dross.

so they failure to back him is his perfect out. jenkins and his lot will line they pockets off the parashute payments
and welsh wigan will be joining english swansea on the slide
