Wembley is no place for losers simple. I have thoroughly enjoyed both visits there. To say the mill stad is a better stadium is laughable. Wembley is a lot more impressive and has more facilities. Although the empty seats for most games in club wembley are pathetic. Cracking atmosphere when we have played at wembley both ib and out of the stadium and no problems getting away on the train although it does help when that we stayed behind to see our celebrations. Of course cardiff city centre is a better day out for food and drink but its not that difficult to find some cracking pubs a couple of tube stops away from wembley.

It's hardly laughable. Wembley Stadium is overall a better stadium, but there's a better day out in Cardiff.

Which is what I said. But to say the mill stad is a BETTER STADIUM is laughable.

And like I said, it's hardly laughable, even though I agree that Wembley Stadium is better. The Mill Stad is a brilliant stadium and has recieved a lot of praise from fans who have travelled down here for finals, there was even a debate on a Liverpool forum after we played them in the Carling Cup Final and the majority agreed that the Mill Stad was better.

Pitch wembley, capacity wembley, hospitality wembley, facilities wembley, leg room wembley, roof mill stad. Atmosphere mill stad with roof on, both the same without.

And so it should be Considering wembley cost 6-7 times the amount to build than the millennium did. But its not just about the stadiums! Its about the overall experience for the fans. And most people who have been to both stadia, will tell you that a day out at cardiff is better than a day out at wembley. Cardiff caters better for the fans. Even if you don't want the hustle and bustle of a packed cardiff town on match day before the game, yor a 5 minute bus ride from the bay, so you can escape from it quite easily. I also think the millennium wins on generating atmosphere. Its a more intimate stadium.. Especially when that roof is closed

I loved Wembley, great stadium, a fantastic view wherever you sit and a real special feeling just being there. A perfect stadium for the big games.

However, I do agree that there isn't much to do aside from watch the game. Surely it is something that can be changed though?

Cardiff has character. The old and new blend in perfectly to give it a unique feel. it has an old school feel for the older more traditionalist types, but also a modern touch for the families and younger types. It mixes everything in perfectly to accommodate all kinds of taste. There's nothing quite like cardiff on a big international day. wembley will probably just end up being surrounded by burger chains and other corporate shit. Lovely stadium don't get me wrong. But it doesn't have that "feel" you urge for on a big day out

It did make the media,i took the thread from an article in a sunday supplement. Also during the game itself the commentator said that a few players were also surprised by the location of the stadium. In other words they thought it was a shithole as well.

not in Germany

all around the two stadiums cardiff wins hands down, as for the stadium itself the millennium stadium is not a patch on wembley

whats the point in drinking a few tube stops away? you might not even see any other fans, hardly a big match experience is it? thats the thing about wembley, everyone goes there separate ways so it doesnt feel like a special day. And we do know what its like to win at wembley jacks, makes it better for sure but its still a crap place....

The point is a family pub serving grub all day and good banter between two sets if fans without spending an age at the bar. Then mive on to wembley way have a few beers and soak up the atmosphere if the day at the most famous stadium in sport When I was talking about winning I meant trophies not semi finals. This is when you reply with your 1927 blah.

Exactly! I love the intimacy of the millennium stadium and Cardiff town on a big match day. it really does make you feel part of the occasion. Its right in your face slapping you all day long. And the millennium makes you feel like you're right on top of the action. Wasn't it sir clive woodward who said "he's never experienced anything like cardiff and the millennium atmosphere on a big match day" even though he's rugby. No doubt that man has experienced most big stadiums in the world.

I know one or two England fans who said you feel like you are going to a Neutral game instead of watching your country.

It is special to play at Wembley and see your club walk out there.

Millenium Stadium you have everything nearby the stadium to make it more enjoyable for a day out. Thousands of people walking around the centre for the Football is something brilliant.
