If we took five of our wins and stuck them at the end of the season nobody would be saying this about us.
At the end of the day just look at the quality in this years play-offs and think we comfortably beat all of them points wise

Well that's wrong, people having been saying it all season about how average & lucky we supposedly are/were.
Nothing to do with the form towards the end. Even when we were 11 points clear, Leicester fans were saying how lucky and average we were etc.

Is this how we are perceived I wonder by other clubs fans.
" When the likes of a very average Cardiff City team wins the Championship with consummate ease it must raise the hopes of clubs such as ours that the promised land of the Premiership can be a reality.
It proves that an average side amongst 23 other very average sides can win the league with the right manager, a good team spirit and a big dollop of luck.
At a time when relegated clubs leave the Premiership with a barrow load of parachute cash one is forced to ask how Wolves can be relegated and Bolton and Blackburn struggle to aspire to mid-table mediocrity.
It seems such a fine line between the correct investment to maintain Premiership status or being too frugal and coming straight back down.
We have all seen how big spending to stay in the Premiership does not always work and without a rich benefactor it can push a club to the brink of meltdown and back to back relegations.
Do ITFC fans realise just how close we were to becoming another Sheffield United or Wednesday this season? It seems implausible to think that Sheffield United could not turn over Yeovil in a two-legged semi-final to climb out of League One, it must be galling for Blunts' fans, but this is reality and could easily have been ourselves if MM had not rescued us when he did.
I have to agree wholeheartedly with the players MM is shedding and feel that the likes of Lee Martin and Michael Chopra in particular are symbolic of the Keane/Jewell shambles that was Ipswich Town.
MM and TC will produce a well-organised, hardworking, if not flamboyant brand of football. Put this together with a strong team spirit and the slice of luck that has been missing for the last few years (something MM seems to have brought with him) and we will have a very real chance this coming season. It’s going to be tough, but if Cardiff can do it then why can't we?"

I wonder on average how many championship winning teams hit the top three in September and stay there for the rest of the season.
I wonder on average how many championship winning teams hit the top of the league in November and stay there for the rest of the season.
The championship was not average but more competitive this season than ever before. Who would have thought a team would be sweating over relegation the last day of the season with 55 points in the bag.
Just a lot of bitter fans out there who despise the fact that there are two welsh clubs in the English premier league.
I wonder what we would have achieved points wise if we had Maynard fit and available all season. It was a remarkable achievement based on not having a first choice striker fit and available most of the season.

Please give examples of such people or are you just speaking for people again?
It's funny you cite Leicester fans, one of our main rivals. Jealousy and bitterness comes to mind.
Craig Bellamy, he of an extremely distinguished career called it his greatest achievement -

Coz they were shite.
One is now in league 1 the other easily could have joined them. Bolton did ok in the end after adapting. Normally the relegated teams are in the automatics or play offs. If the leagues strength made 2 become relegation fodder then that means that the likes of Barnsley and Ipswich are now better than the relegation teams of previous seasons like your newcastles, west hams etc etc which clearly isn't the case.
It was a crap league but we did what we had to do.

Well yeah, lets be honest they are all average players, apart from bellers who could have stayed at liverpool, all the rest werent at premier league clubs because nobody wanted them. Clubs werent lining up for campbell, when he chose us, and i unless they were kept tightly guarded secrets, no bids came in for hudson, kimbo, gunnerson or marshal during the season...
