You do realise Saudi Muslims and Muslims who also believe in these cultural teachings can move abroad right? That is all that has happened. They are, as stated above, cultural teachings. They happen in the Middle East frequently and when people come here they know no different and think that way of life is still acceptable.

Murder is forbidden in Islam. Islam sees every person as Allah's people so by killing you or any other person, inside or outside of the religion, they would be going against Allah. Why would a normal Muslim do that? The only Muslims that do go against Allah are extremists who are evil themselves and trying to shift the focus on to the religion rather than themselves.

I have read the George sale English translation and excerpts from others to compare what might be interpreted if it appears contextually confusing. I don't disagree with the fact Christians pick and choose what they believe but modern practising Christians are not going around beheading people in its name or at least the pro-rata scale in comparison with Islam is minuscule

The target should be extremist groups, not religious groups. Yes extremist groups may be a subsection of a religion but that does not make the whole religion culpable and therein lies the issue with what is currently unfolding. We should be educating the masses, helping people make their own ways and stop them falling victim to these sick preachers. We should be deporting any immigrant from any background with a criminal record, Muslim, Irish, Romanian, whatever.

Therefore, it incorporates all religions that went before it (Christianity, Judaism, Zoroastrianism etc.) and is the one true belief. Muhammed spread his religion by shunning those who rejected it, from the very moment Islam was all about despising the infidels. Although, thank God, a large part of Muslims isn't violent or preaches medieval teachings, they were still brought up to believe that all those who are not Muslims are monkeys, pigs and donkeys.

I believe the great change will come from within Islam. I hope we'll be able to witness the moment a large group of Muslims will stand up to really reform Islam and change the primary islamic teachings. We should support them in it.

No, you are wrong. I have read the Quran. You have just misread the fundamental teachings of what those passages actually mean. As stated in another post, dont take the sentences as gospel. The fables have morals. Take the morals, not the fable as face value. It is not the actual story or focus you should be paying any interest in but the morals/teachings that come from them.

Whilst the Quran does use violence and other forms to teach, it is TO SOLELY TEACH AND NOT CARRY OUT.

Just writing in capitals doesn't make it true. I could give you dozens of examples where the Quran explicitly calls for violence. I advice you to read it again.

No, you are wrong. I have read the Quran. You have just misread the fundamental teachings of what those passages actually mean. As stated in another post, dont take the sentences as gospel. The fables have morals. Take the morals, not the fable as face value. It is not the actual story or focus you should be paying any interest in but the morals/teachings that come from them.

Again, this is down to interpretation and its not the fault of the text if people misread it and start doing insane things just as its not the fault of Grand Theft Auto if someone plays the game and then goes on a massacre or the fault of the gun if some deranged loon starts firing at people. Responsibility lies with the individual, not the tool. Its about time the government and other people grew a ball sack and started attributing responsibility appropriately.

Again I congratulate you on your good intentions. You want people who read religious texts to pick the positive things out of them and actually use them for the good in their lives. You have my total support in that.

But you are still absolutely wrong when you state that violent behaviour must be considered as a result of misinterpretation. It is actually the correct interpretation. Just as Jews and Christians don't kill people who work on saturday. It would be the correct interpretation if we were to kill everyone who does any housework in the weekend, but luckily we don't take the violent parts of the Old Testament literally (therefore misinterpret it) and ingore them largely.

If you want people to learn usefull lessons out of the islamic literature, you want them to misinterpret them. It is the correct interpretation of the old texts that brings us islamic terrorism.
