Don't Know If I am one of the better posters on here, I certainly don't profess to be, but i choose my poster's to reply to carefully, because quite a lot of the posters sink into insults and petty arguments, I know that if a poster goes past two pages, it is not worth looking at unless it is Carl, City Gent, Annis or Castle blue because they are generally entering into insults between two posters, I am not a prude, I spent 50 years working in a factory, but if you can't post on here without swearing, then their is something wrong with your education.
In saying that' this is one of the best message boards available, especially subjects on the Clty, there are some good debates on here and some good debaters, but I think because it is close season the subjects dry up or people get bored, and write some things they know are not true.

I have to agree although there are what I call thread stoppers who are just as annoying.

For some reason posters believe doing a TLG is the way to go. By that I mean they infer something and then play a straight bat to replies and deny that is what they meant. Chuckles is the worst for it on here and he absolutely kills thread after thread with his boring drivel and fascination with BigGwyn.

If you want to debate then debate. You don't have to blow other posters out of the water or have the precious 'last word'

There is nothing wrong with acknowledging a 'good point' made by someone else or even admitting your opinion is wrong, but for god sake have the bollocks to either post what you mean or explain it if someone miss interprets rather than play a game of who is the biggest victim.

A few things you may wish to consider Chucks:

1. We all know you are entitled to your opinion - you do not have to state this on nearly every post you make as it is accepted.

2. You do not have to state your opposition to the rebrand in nearly every post you make - I think by now we all know your position and by restating it you often derail the thread.

3. If someone disagrees with you it does not follow that they don't think you are entitled to your opinion - it just means that in their opinion yours is wrong which is totally acceptable.

Now once you have implemented these three points into your pshyche we will move on to the "Advanced Forum Posting" course.

I do not expect any payment for these lessons, I am helping you out of the goodness of my heart.

I used to use this board regularly but the amount of rebrand threads and bitching going on has ruined it. The bitching is what killed the other board and unfortunately the same has happened here. Still get the odd bit of banter but nothing like it was.

It's not the fault of anyone I suppose just a result of what has gone on at the club but for me it's just become tired and boring. I would imagine there are plenty like me that still scan the boards for info etc but can't be arsed with the politics of it all.

This board has been about quantity not quality for a long time now hence why roathy was allowed to poison the board for so long.
The fact that the porno thread is on here shows its the importance of the hits to keep the income coming in from the advertising that drives the board now.
Lakey was right when he posted about taking a rest from the board helps. So that's it for me for the time being I will be back in late July early August when we have our signings on board and silly season is over.
