The colour by far.

The badge has evolved over the years, I dont like the new one, but I can live with it. The red shirt, I can't accept.

If I could have the chose it would be the Blue shirt, badges change with lots of clubs

Badge. I too have seen leisure wear I would have bought if it wasn't for the badge. I know it sounds strange, but the badge looks too Welsh. It is the sort of thing you would see on a rugby shirt. I always felt Cardiff City represented a different Welshness to the better known rugby/leakes/Max Boyce etc.
the red shirt is strange, yet I am not anti-red as it were. I wouldn't buy one or wear anything red though.

Not bothered by the red at all. The badge annoys me because its terribly designed. Would not mind a dragon badge that is nicely and professionally designed. The bluebird must rest now. Hes been working hard for 100 years.

No, not at all. The club must evolve in my opinion.

The badge is awful but I could live with it.Clubs frequently change their badges.

The change of colour is an assault on a core part of our identity.Definitely the more important of the two for me personally.

Can live with both reluctantly.
If we wear red then common sense means we can't be Bluebirds, we're Welsh so a Dragon makes sense.
The design of the badge is poor and lack imagination.
But really its time to stop these branding posts, we got through last year because the team was winning even though the arguments were raging. It's going to be difficult next season we aren't going to be winning as many games and this off the field arguing could get us all down.

The change of shirt colour hurts the most, I don't really care too much about the badge, but the shirt colour alters our whole bond with what we have grown attached to with the club. Also the colour is what a large number of our songs are based on

Hate the badge but it does have the Bluebird and with a better design I could live with it so if there was only ONE CHOICE then it would be to have our BLUE shirts back.

The Blue shirt, because for me the bluebird aspect was introduced in the later part in our club history, whereas the blue jerseys were part of our founding years since 1908, which is more significant in my opinion. Club crests have altered over the years, don't forget we actually had a dragon on our 1927 winning jersey as our club crest if I am not mistaken.

The badge as hurt me the most, I know we have changed the crest a number of times but the Bluebird has always been prominent on the crest. We have also played in red before on a number of occasions albeit away from home but still we have so I would rather us get our old badge back then I can buy the blue away kit with the "proper" badge on it.
On the other hand if they brought back our old crest and done away with the blue totally then it would be different for me as then I would want the blue return and keep the new badge.
It's a very difficult one as I hate both the red and new badge.

This was the question that was asked to me, by a senior official in the club, the day after I attended the first meeting, last May, of fans representatives regarding the re-branding.

My reply, after some thought, was "the badge".

"So you don't mind the red!" was the response back to me.

"No, I don't like the red, but that wasn't the question, you asked which one hurt me the most and it is the badge because you have taken the bluebird off the badge (remember when the new badge was first shown to us the bluebird was not on there), everything I identify with and relate to regarding Cardiff City FC is embodied in the bluebird and that has been taken away!".

Thankfully for small mercies the Bluebird was reintroduced.

So after a season of playing in red, the question I have is this :

If you could decide which of the two (Blue shirt or badge), which one would you pick to return?

Do not say both as the vast majority, if not all, of City fans would want them both but you are allowed to choose either the return to Blue shirts or our badge.

I would choose the badge myself, simply so I could wear leisurewear, away shirt, etc and see the badge with the prominent Bluebird on the front of the stadium and everywhere else.

Which would you decide and why?

Is the aim to now undo the good work of the post you made a few weeks back?

Definitely the blue home shirt. Badges change at all clubs from time to time and I can handle that (even though I don't like the new badge). The shirt colour and design (hoops/stripes etc) is the most important thing for a club's identity in my opinion, excluding the name of course.

That is such a hard question the to go together like salt and vinegar but if I had to make a choice it would be the colour.

The reason being from the stands I just cringe every time I watch us in red but then in saying that the badge means a lot it wasnt long ago ridsdale gave us a vote as to which badge we all wanted Tan ignored that and throw it in the bin.

My choice if I had one is the colour.

Easily and by miles the colour.

Badges have changed before, the current one isnt even the worse. We should be blue tho.

I'd have the colour back over the badge. I actually think the badge looks alright!

I'd put up with the beer mat badge to return to blue

As long as we retain a blue alternative strip then I'd rather have the badge back.
