Surely the point of the thread isn't about point scoring?

Ok maybe he meant the Welsh League, but the point still spplies.

Sad to see this happen to a club like Barry Town.

Just annoys me, as someone who spent over 15 years in football administration, that someone can jump on our National Association saying they should be ashamed of themselves.

There are many factors in play here like the rights of promotion to the Welsh Premier League for the winners of the Welsh League. What about the rights of that club and of course the supporters of that club.

As I see it ALL the Welsh League has done is agree to withdraw Barry Town from this seasons competition. That allows the League to complete it's competition and everything that goes with that. The League hasn't said it has expelled Barry Town so do any of us know what thier status will be next season. Will Barry Town still be members of the Welsh League? Right now they are certainly members and in my opinion thier continued membership will be decided by the member clubs at the League AGM.

This is nothing to do with point scoring this is about understanding what has happened, who is responsible for what has happened and how do the League ensure that this has the least effect on the other 15 clubs who fulfilled thier obligations to the League, it's club and supporters.

The shame here is with the original poster who, yet again, is free to spout ill informed nonsense.

But then again this is the Cardiff City Forum so I suppose the FAW and anyone else are easy targets for criticism deserved or not.

For accepting Lovering's demands when its clear that the man has no interest of the club at heart

It's his club they can't force him you tool

It is not his club, you tool, he bought the Limted Company for £125,000 in 2004 under the noses of the supporters club, claiming great things for the future. Most of which were the ideas of a mad man.
He got his money back almost straight away when he pocketed the previous seasons European prize money that was paid out in the Autumn.
He is not the owner of the 100 year old club, he is merely a custodian for the people of Barry of their football club. He owns the Limited Company.

Lovering threw his toys finally out of the pram when the Supporters refused his latest offer to sell the Limited Company to them.

He wanted £10,000 up front, then £12,000 a year for the next 12 years.

If payments were missed by just one day in that time, he could claim the club back.

He also stated that under the terms of the sale, Barry would not be allowed to pay any players any money in that time.

The Supporters quite rightly, and politely, told him No Thanks.

For the past 2 seasons the Supporters have paid for everything up front and on time - kit, entry fees, referees, pitch hire, floodlights. The players and coaches have been paid nothing.

This forum makes me laugh, either cardiff fans constantly obsessed with the inbreds or cardiff fans constantly shouting down anything Adam says.

Don't get me wrong, Adam can be an utter prick but in rare instances like this he's done most wrong.

I agree with the OP.

On top of that their happy to have a born Englishman captain lead us out.

I have lost full respect for the Welsh FA a long time ago.

it would appear that the FAW have thrown Barry Town a lifeline. todays south wales argus is reporting that the BTSC will be able to form a new club, play at same ground and start in welsh league division 3. light.at end of tunnel after all.

Wait we will have Angry Man on here saying they should be ashamed of themselves for not nominating Barry Town for next seasons Europa League.

This was always going to happen and the decision to allow the club to withdraw was only to allow the league and promotion / relegation to be completed.

The future of Barry Town Football Club will be down to the BTSC and that's the best news of all.
