IF he was offered the job, he would be silly to reject it. Massive club are Everton & a big chance at management in the prem for more than one season.

Not saying that we won't stay up, but out of the 2 clubs, we are far more likely to go downZ

What makes them "massive"?

Often in Euro places, top ten pretty normal, top flight for donkeys years.

All good points. They get 35k crowds (big but not huge) and have to sell players to balance their accounts so in that respect I wouldn't call them massive. Not won anything under moyes either. I'm not denying they are a big club, just interested in what people think defines what size a club is.

Martinez or Poyet, or Di Matteo ????

Everton are a team who have consistently over achieved given the money they've spent - the only way for them is down the league

I'd take any of those 3. If Brighton go up then I can't see him swapping them for us. Would di matteo come to us now he's a champs league winner and we turned him down before?
I have a feeling Martinez will stay with Wigan to try and get them back up.

I think only Everton and Arsenal have stayed in the top flight from the very beginning. So they're pretty big going on just that

Seriously - if we were Everton in 10 years time i would be very happy - over achieving is very under rated :!: :!: :!:

Exactly f**k off if he wants to go to everton as far as I'm concerned, either wants to be with cardiff city or not, least laudrup had set it straight, malky avoided the question and laughing about it

Laudrup didn't say no.

I'm not saying Moyes and Everton haven't done well, they have had a great ten years but I don't see them doing so well in the next years whoever the manager is.

malky said this group of players will get a chance.how does he know that if you are going to have a new manager?also said 4/5 new players.if he is going it wouldn,t be for him to say that would it?just a view from an outsider lads

I don't think it's gone that far yet though. I reckon Everton are still weighing up their options and at it stands MM will, at best, be under consideration.

maybe your right but i don,t think either of the two welsh managers will be leaving.only caught the end bit about malky,s signings but if i had to put money on it i think he,ll be at ccs in aug.seemed as though he was up for it to me.hope he stays.be nice to see a young manager put his stamp on a club for the long haul

Saw the interview myself and I thought both (Malky and Laudrup) batted it off well, as it would be naive of either to count themselves in or out in public for lots of reasons

I believe Malky is happy to stay at Cardiff City with a supportive Vincent Tan BUT what if hypothetically (say, for a few £million) VT said 'yes' to an Everton approach? How would Malky feel then? Pretty p***ed of and let down having totally ruled himself out, eh?

As I said before, it's best Malky keeps his own cousel on all speculation (whether it be new clubs or new players)

All will 'out' in the end and I believe it will be to the benefit of Cardiff City FC :ayatollah: :malky:

Another football mercenary I am afraid lads, he didnt exactly rule it out did he, one very dissapointed Cardiff City fan sat watching match of the day last night. I hope Tan has got his head screwed on and his football advisor Sam is barking in his ear to start sounding out other managers. If I were Tan I would be banging on Brightons door asking permission to speak with Poyet first thing in the morning if they dont get a result in tonight game against Palace. When Malky goes to Everton, and for me it now looks like a when not if then we must make them pay top dollar.

You can look at this at a few angles

Malky could have dismissed the speculation outright by saying he was not interested, he didnt and obviously he is and rightly so. Malky can use this speculation as a bargaining tool by bringing in targets early from said VT funds, personally I think it should be down to Tan to dismiss any speculation. Stating that Malky is under contract with Cardiff and that the club will fight tooth and nail for him to stay or would VT happily take the compo and move on to appoint a new manager........... :dontknow:

thing is the whole game is rotten anyway, MM knows if he is struggerling next season he will be gone by november here, would it be the same at everton? They will be mid table and just off the top 5 as usual.

Their history which is littered with major trophies , their regular top 10 finishes in the league , their average gates of around 40k , the full away ends for all their away games .

Rather he kept his options open than say hes staying and then change his mind when Everton give him an offer he simply cannot refuse.

Whether we like it or not Malky must be nervous as hell working under Tan. You only have to watch an interview to know Tan is a complete nut case. Imagine what hes like behind the scenes.

There are ways and means of conducting yourself especially in a job like Malky has in the public eye. Honesty costs nothing

There's nothing to say at the moment until Everton make an 'official'approach. No manager in there right mind would dismiss an opportunity to manage one the biggest clubs in the country. Until then it's all bullshit ITK which the club and Malky should stay away from.

Maybe Malky actually prefers Blue to Red?............. hmm now what colour do Everton play in??? ;) :D

Re: ' MALKY SPEAKS OUT FOR THE FIRST TIME '

I think it's important to realise MM won't actually apply for this job (committed to CCFC)... But if they were to come asking for him... He would be stupid from a professional point of view not to at least listen to what they have to say.

In my opinion, it's down to VT to take the necessary steps to secure MM for next year, if he does see him as the man to take us forward at this moment in time...

After watching that, if Everton want him - Malky is gone.

I have a feeling two weeks from now, polls will appear here to vote for our new vacant manager post.
