deeney as a player would be great here imo. I think he has a future at international level.

He wouldnt be the first sucessful premier league player to has spent time in prision, but looknig at the actually crime he did its hard to really want someone like that at the club. On the other hand he is young, young people make silly idiotic mistakes and it is possible he has learnt from it.

Give or take a few goals for drop in form I think its fair to say he'd have scored around 21-24 quite easily had he played the whole season Fraizer. Maynard didn't play for a long enough period to even speculate on.

It's all what ifs though and Barnett you can do all the maths you want. My opinion was that I rate Deeney. I didn't once say I rate Deeney and by the way Campbell would never have scored 20 + goals. That's a different topic all together.

So because Deeney is good its fine to have him in the team. Lets just forget he done 10 months for assaulting a group of people.

Yet Kevin Saint Luce committed a similar crime and everyone was all over it saying he was an absolute disgrace and the club should get rid of him.

We were right to release a thug. If he takes his punishment and stays clean then he deserves a second chance. Ie, I would have realeased either of these two when theh did the crime, but if theh are genuinely rehabilitated, then I'd give them a second chance.

Note, that logic wouldn't extend to Marlon King; woman beaters don't deserve the same second chance.

And yes, Camobell and Maynard are 20 goal a season strikers (at championship level). I'm not saying they would definitely get that many, but if they stayed fit they probably would have.

That's not to say I wouldn't take Deeney - different mould, and we need 4 strikers of FC/NM's quality if we're to have a chance of staying up.
