Dont think he planned for Ridsdale to act the way he has, you cant blame Sam for that Byron.

Nobody plans for anything to go wrong Carl. But it does'nt take a rocket sciencetist to know Ridsdale was bad blood with what had happened to his two previous cluds!!!!!

in football is there?
2. I think its totally fair to say Sam Hammam clicked with Cardiff City supporters big style. Yes, he liked
the adulation, who wouldn't, but people in his position generally dont ring up random fans at the dead
of night just for a chat. He had an affinity with us supporters that was pretty unique i think.
3. He was quite reckless when he was here, paid silly prices for players and made daft promises to fans.
But I honestly believe he believed in the dream that was Cardiff City. He sold the dream so
well to 'the banks' that they were throwing money at him, but just the money paid for Peter Thorne is
testament to where the money was going. I dont think he was using it to line his own pockets to be
fair. Sam walked away from Cardiff City with big debts too. Lets not forget, if 'Langstone' is Sam Hammam,
they in turn got the money from somewhere eh?
4. Sam is obviously desperate to come back to Cardiff City in one form or another. Its also obvious that
he wouldnt be coming back here with an ulterior motive, there is no money here for Sam, there will be
no seat on the board. So Sam Hammam wants to come back because he genuinely loves this club and
misses it, and misses us lot. Well, dyu know what... I miss him too. His daft pitch walks, his bloody
ridiculous 'bigger than Barcelona' statements, his 'like Millwall but ten times worse' speeches. His
random phone calls to people he didnt even know telling them to 'live the dream' His 'burn a man utd
shirt for Cardiff' scheme.![]()
The feller was a loose cannon, a stereotypical Cardiff City fan in
fact!!!
There are things need clearing up regarding Sam and his involvement here. Unanswered questions, and quite
a few of them. But who the f**k is Mike (egg-chasing) Hall to throw mud? why do we believe his version of
events. Until theres a bit more transparency at the club, and until the truth finally rears its ugly head, there
will be no 'return of the Messiah' for Sam. But personally, I'd love the truth to prove Sam really was just a
reckless nutcase rather than a calculating money-grabbing crooked Arab. Without Sam Hammam there would
be no new stadium, no talk of possible premiership football, no FA Cup finals, no full-houses, no dream. I been
watching the City since 1980ish, and back in those dark days top flight football wasn't even a dream, we were
that shit nobody would even consider 'what ifs'... We were too busy finding out which connections would get us
to Carlisle/Halifax/Hartlepool to think about anything else. By hook or by crook, its Sam Hammam has got us
where we are today. From day one he always said he wanted to attract investment into Cardiff City, well its
happening, and irrespective of the rights and wrongs of it all... this is HIS legacy.
None of us really know the truth - but when it does come out my hope is that Sams reputation is restored and
I (for one) can look at the daft old bugger with a whole lot of love again![]()

While bringing in Ridsdale turned out to be a total blunder on the part of Sam Hammam you have to have sympathy with his situation at the time.
Also Ridsdale was working for WH Sports 'consultants' who offerred him advice and access to outside investment (i.e. Keith Harris)
When we look back on Ridsdale's conduct from the moment he arrived in March 2005 you have to wonder whether as a 'consultant' with a spesific job discription from the Chairman (Sam Hammam) he conducted himself professionally and carried out his duties to his client or sought to line his own pockets and stab Sam in the back.
Personally I believe there is a case to answer and Sam should even consider suing Ridsdale personally for any losses he has.

Sam was sort of pushed into a corner about the rugby involvement at CCS , basically he fought tooth and nail NOT for rugby but he was told without rugby then we get NO stadium !!!! The state of the pitch proves Sam was right

We are in touching distance of the Dream that was started 10 years ago by Sam. Whatever has happened between then and now, the one thing that remains is the fact that Sam Hammam came and started laying the foundations to put us in the position that we find ourselves today. Touching distance ? Bit extreme
I know there are arguements and debates from both sides where Sam is concerned but I am glad and thankful that Sam came into our club. Woke it right up
10 years ago nobody wanted to touch Cardiff City FC, including investors, sponsors, not even the press had anything good to say about us but that changed the day Sam walked in. Correct
He raised the profile of the club, he gave us a belief, he gave us a winning team, an academy, a new stadium, he gave us recognition. Correct .
Sam lost a hell of lot of money in Cardiff City, around the £19million by my reckoning, £3 million he used to buy the club, the £6 million he let go when he was ousted and the £14 million that was reduced in the recent Langstone deal. Just Sam?
So today I say Thank You Sam and hopefully one day you will come into the new stadium and see the dream you created.

It was his money Baz because he came in at the beginning and used his £3 million to start the dream and dont forget Sam borrowed the money under his company not Cardiff City therefore not a secured loan and also I agree there were thousands of dreamers before Sam came but he turned our dreams into the reality that it is today, without Sam we would not be where we are right now.
