McNaughton Contract a mistake?

We can't just get rid of all our players who we think are not good enough. We can't buy a whole new squad like QPR because the players won't gell quick enough and we could find ourselfs in the relegation zone. We just need to add quality to the backbone of the squad we have now.
McNaughton will probably be 3rd choice right back anyway so he'll hardly play a part. He's been rewarded for his loyalty to CCFC

Even as a back up with a good wage people still complain, delusion at it's finest.

Am I the only one wondering if giving Kev a new contract is a mistake. Yes he's a club legend but I'm not convinced he's premiership at all.
