I thnk there may be some interesting developments regarding the players who only have 1 year left on thier contracts. This season MM has extended the contracts of both Hudson and Gunarrsonn but there are the following players whose contracts end in the summer of 2014.

I Love em all and they are true Pros. But there are many that are not Prem class and that's a shame as a lot of Premiere players are just greedy arrogant twats. But those Lads in our squad are true Gentlemen and they are the one's that put the pride into Cardiff City.
But OK i am talking with the heart here and not the head I would be happy letting this squad with one or two additions have a crack with our Supporters as one, and if we go down we go down.

With you there. This is a proper team that has made us proud this year, and should be given a chance.
It could well lead to relegation, but with the addition of a couple of players, I think they will make a good go of it.

Apart from McPhail, the rest deserve a go at the PL in some capacity.

Why stop them leaving for free?

we would have to shell out 50% of their contract so if the collective wage is £30K a week, we would have to hand over £780K to release them.

I would start the season with the nucleus of the squad and bring in 4 quality players .
The players that already look like going is McPhail and Helguson . I would also release Etien who clearly doesn't fit in the squad and release Ralls for a loan. I believe a good few others maybe surplus over the season such as Cowie, Conway, Nugent ,Connolly , Rudy , Super Kev and Mason.
