Why this thread is even on this forum is beyond me to be honest.

Can i ask why you clicked on it and further more went to the trouble of replying on it then?

I clicked on it because I thought "What the f**k?"
I then commented because I thought "What the f**k!!"
Typical Swampsea though... Not enough interest locally so you have to go elsewhere to gauge an opinion on your small club.

The point is, in our "poor" run the teams below up have caught us (9 point gap at one stage) and the likes of Liverpool and WBA now have a sizeable lead on us.

You won 3 in 14 games I believe yet extended your lead at the top.

If it was cardiff in Europa league I would quite happily admit that it could affect our league form.
If you jack bastards can't admit that then you are more deluded and big headed than I already thought!

Of course it could affect our league form, but I don't see it doing so to the extent of us getting relegated.

Being in the Europa League will allow us to attract a higher calibre of player in the summer such as Real Betis captain Jose Canas (you can watch him play at Barcelona tonight), and hopefully Lukaku.

Yeh I don't think it will be as drastic as you getting relegated but you could be down there, you ain't far off now this season

3 games left (2 for most).... 8 points, 21 goals GD and 8 teams separate us and Wigan, 15 points separate us Reading, 18 separate us and QPR.

We have Fulham, Wigan and Man United to play. Wigan have us, Arsenal and Man City. Not to mention we sit 9th...I think that's pretty far from relegation mate

Polo you're seriously going down in my estimation.

Barlow chant(which you said you found witty I might add) wasn't aimed solely at Hull fans, which I have already stated.
Isn't relevant in this specific topic either.

The sooner this board gets cleaned up and more sections are added the better this site will be.

Looking at the state of Newcastle, who have a bigger squad, the Jacks could be in trouble next year.

They have already ran out of gas this season, next season its Thursday -Sunday every week. Hmmmmmmm.

Come in Swansea. Your time is up.

In our last 7 games we have played Tottenham, Man City, Chelsea and Arsenal. We haven't ran out of steam so much as come up against better teams than us.

There's no way we will get knocked out of Europe intentionally. We will strengthen the squad appropriately to compete. Next year we will be trying to qualify for Europe again, there wouldn't be much point to that if we were just going to get knocked out on purpose because some other teams who run their club completely different aren't doing well.

Living forever more in the "just stay up" mode would be a very dull and unambitious existence for a club.

Yes, you've come up against some real powerhouses during your recent poor run: West Brom, Norwich, Southampton

With the extra pressure of Europe I would be very concerned. We saw how well your rotated players do in the Liverpool game.

Surprise, surprise, we've drawn against two of those sides and away to West Brom we were cheated out of what would have been a good point.

Your making out the Premier League to be easy and poor, lets see how easy it is when you get in there. You surely can't have any excuses if you don't hit the ground running next season seeing as you've been belittling our Premier League achievements for the last two years.

The Europa League will affect our form, but it's not going to turn us from the 9th best team in the division to one of the worst three especially seeing as the league will lose quality next season based on who's gone down and who's going up. We'll also be a stronger side next season, if we had this team next season I would be concerned as our best forward is Luke Moore but next season we'll have brought in at least two forwards, Canas, Gorre, hopefully a centre half, possibly a full back and De Guzman permanently and we'll push on as a club.

You can by a cynic and see Europa League football as a limiting factor towards league success, but I and the club see it as something to push us on to the next level and to do more than just consolidate our place in the Premier League and to consolidate a place in the top half of the Premier League and to regularly finish in European places.

The fact is teams compete to finish as high as they can - is so they CAN compete in Europe. It's a simple concept really.

I find the whole thing very odd. Some on here reckon Europe will hinder our league form, yet we compete in the league to try and gain a place in Europe. Oh well
