Some bad news regarding Barnett guys...(Confirmed)

This is ridiculous. What is the point?

He's not even going to get played at Norwich, so surely, SURELY, they could have at least let him have ONE LAST FRICKING GAME WHERE HE COULD RECEIVE HIS MEDAL?

Yeah, I now hope they get relegated next season. Must be a kick in the balls for Barnett. Now I want to sign him even more.

I still dont think hed have automatically been entitled to a medal even after playing against Hull and Bolton unfortuntelty

I know, but he would have been able to play in the game, and also join in with the celebrations. He would have been on the list for the additional medals, and I think if he played against Bolton and Hull, he would have had the minimum 10 requirements.

i know for a fact swell he payed £700 for his family to come to watch the game and they can't even watch him now.

Probably nothing for him, but that shows it meant a great deal. He was very important for the club, became one of my favourite players, and I really hope he joins us now.

Ah well, at least on his achievements he will have 'Won Promotion to Premier League with Cardiff City' and 'Championship Winners 2012/2013', whether he gets a medal or not.

Its a shame it has happened as he very strong during our run in to promotion but as other posts said he's Norwich's player and they didn't have to extend our loan to him

Ben Nugent to get a run in

According to this statement it seems Malky prefers to play young Ben Nugent for the last two games now the title is wrapped up as it is implying MM allowed him to return.

Its a shame he has gone. He deserved to be involved Saturday and celebrating on the pitch with his family. I hope he get a winning medal

On the other side of the coin I hope he plays all of Norwich's remaining games. That way we can see if he is up to task of premier league before we bid for him.

Club probably looking to put a bit of positive "spin" on it. The Norwich site says he was recalled.

Still, he's norwich's player - so lets just be thankful to them for extending his loan long enough for us to win the title.

It really doesn't matter. We are promoted and as champions. It will be good for Nugent to get some game time. It's a shame that he can't be there for the medals though. I hope we sign him for next season.

I'm pretty sure it will have something to do with the fact Michael Turner picked up a knock against Reading last week. We had to replace him with Ryan Bennett (who seems to now be in trouble with the FA)

My only conclusion is Hughton wants Barnett back as cover for Turner and Bennett who might not be able to play some vital games for us in the last part of the season.

I hear he's made quite the impact at Cardiff and look forward to seeing him play again. He and Bassong formed a reasonably good partnership earlier in the season, so I wouldn't be surprised if we play him at Stoke.

As for his long term future, unsure. We've heard a lot of rumors of him settling with you guys. So only time will tell.

Barnett was recalled, as when he signed his loan extension there was a 24hour recall on him as Annis said on here at the time.

Shame for Leon as he has played superb since that one bad pass on his debut against Wednesday but good chance for Ben Nugent to be part of the team during a historic season ending
