Vincent Tan pays the wages then does he..? I thought it was the money which he LOANED to the club which paid the wages!!!

Ok the wages have been paid with Tans money which he was kind enough to LOAN to Cardiff City.

Which he will be getting back with more on top

He'll make a fortune on the Asian Only section of the ground.

Theres a difference between Asian Only and a tourist section which was the point I was originally making

Yes at a nice interest rate. His promise was to return that into equity. That's part of the deal and that will be when you lot can say he has delivered......but only part off.

YOU LOT?? Cardiff fans you mean, why are you a moderator on a City board if you don't support the club??

You lot being who support Tan and his vision. I support the club and its tradition NOT one man and his vision.

This argument about accusing people of being hypocrites is a tool being used by those who don't want to be known as sellouts.

No one wants Red, we all want Blue, but we follow our local team regardless. Fans stay with the club forever but chairmen come and go. But in your eyes we are sellouts for sticking with the team, yeah righto.

Yeah thats true but its completely incorrect to say that Vincent Tan has paid the wages. The money he loaned players helped pay the wages but when he gets his return then he wouldn't have paid a penny towards the wages surely..?

I always question why high profile people or organisations get involved in clubs.

Its very clear Tan is in it for the money and it is why I said he needed us in the premier more than we wanted it. Going one step further why is Roman at Chelsea in it. Surely it can not be the money for him as I cannot see ever going on what he has put in is he going to get a return.

On the other hand if Cardiff had been religated I think he would have lost all his money. So he would have certainly paid the wages then.

Tan took on a very risky investment which has come in for him. I am sure there are a lot easier ways to make money than to try and turn a Championship side into a Premiership side.

Nope I am not saying people are sellouts for sticking with the team.

All of us are sell outs for buying into Tans vision. Sadly those who want to go and watch the team are stuck with this title as there is no way around it, well I can't think of a way. However I think it is a really poor show when fans call other hypocrites for moaning when they have had a moan themselves previously. Show me a City fan that has never moaned about how the club has gone about its business.

Ian, What i would like to know is why you are so Anti Tan and the Malaysians ? As you were one of the first to welcome them and have their flags on display at away games i.e Coventry as shown in your avatar picture which is no more.

People who are still against Tan need to wisen up.

Yes, nobody wanted the change initially, but it was needed to secure investment and to potentially keep the club in business. Now we're in the Premier League and people are still upset. Grow up or stop watching Cardiff City.

Re: VINCENT TAN THE MAN THAT DELIVERS!

All I will say on this matter is, Tan is of course a very very wise man thats why he is a Billionaire. :ayatollah:
I was one of the first to welcome TG on board, same as any other new chairman or manager that arrives.

Yes he has lent our club money at 7% interest, like most high profile chairmen, that is up to him and our club accepted it.
Tan has no idea about football and has no care for tradition.
I really wish Tan did care about our tradition, he would of been our greatest Chairman of all time, instead our fan base is split and some fans have turned on each other, which saddens me.
In Malaysia Tan listens to no one and over here Tan only listens to Malky,Craig Bellamy and Wayne Nash, regarding the football side and our stadium.

There is no such thing as lucky red or any other colour, you make your own luck in football and life.
But why did he change our identity? please I still dont understand and I am not being sarcastic.

Some call fans sell outs, some call fans reluctant reds.

What is a fan who buys none of the new stuff, would never ever be seen with it and will only buy our traditional stuff, whats our identity back, sings old songs and cheers the team on no matter what the score is? I would like to think I am one of them.

Re: VINCENT TAN THE MAN THAT DELIVERS!

Why are some that much obsessed in getting us to kiss VT's ar$e? "Rejoice, kids...we're in the premiership..." :blob4: :hello1:

Tan is the reason why I dont go anymore...

I seriously tried to take the changes on board, my first reaction after the rebrand was "no way, this will never be accepted". Was about to book a flight and come over for a protest-march, thought there's going to be mayhem as noone would ever dare to touch our identity. But nothing happened. KCB was launched, but half-hearted and by the wrong guys. Plus they made the wrong calls and got bullied by some who I actually expected to lead the protest.

But as nothing happened, I thought may be I was in the wrong, maybe it could work, giving up your identity as we have given up Ninian...
Just before the season I made the decision, I need to find out myself. So I came over for 2 weeks, watching 4 City games in that period. And driving back from Brighton, I finally knew I could never ever accept the rebrand. This wasnt my club anymore, leaving Ninian was bad, it broke my heart. But seeing us in red with that thing as our crest tore my heart right out of my chest. It didnt feel like City anymore, this was an alien club, just happened to play in Cardiff. A club, I didnt choose to support. The excitement is as big as if I would watch the Cardiff Blues. A Cardiff team, "yeah lets go Taffies..." but that's it...

My last game at Bristol City was like a bad dream. A grey movie in which I am walking alone and feel no soul, no passion, no excitement...and that was what I once loved about the City. Not the success on the pitch, the feeling that this club once gave me.

To boycott the club I once loved to bits, is hard, but it feels worse watching it. Therefore I decided a few months back, I wouldnt watch them anymore. Still a Cardiff fan, but our CCFC not the new red club.

That is my decision, I respect Gwyn and all the others who accept the rebrand. But I demand that ones (like me) who simply cannot accept red and that badge for our club, are treated in the same manner. We put money into our club, we watched the team home and away, on cold tuesday night, on open terraces with rain pi$$ing down. We were there, and to hear from fellow "fans" stuff like: "your not a real fan, you wont be missed...good riddance" is just out of order.

Was I happy about promotion? Yes.
Will I go and watch the team in red in the premiership? Certainly not.

I just hope Tan goes asap and the next guy or guys in charge will give us our identity back. Until then, I will be in exile...

I have followed City for over 40 years and have been through the bad times as people call them. I have always had faith that Cardiff would become that big club. I have actually been in crowds of over 50,000 at NP, Real Madrid and Leeds. I have always dreamed of some knight in shining armour would come along and make us that big club. My mum use to go to coffee morning with Tom Jones wife who lived in the next village to me. I use to joke with my mates that Jonesy boy would become our saviour.

To me following the City means the colour blue, the Bluebird, Man of Harlech and Pick and Shoval. That is our traditions that has represented the club over my 40 years watching them. To me that's concrete. I had a bit of a fright when Max Boyce came along but we survived that. That is what is in my head.

To me, after the false alarm of Sam, the arrival of the Malaysians was perhaps I felt was needed. I've been around too long to put full trust in things but if first impressions are ok then I'm willing to give them a chance whatever that thing is. I started to have my doubts about the Malaysians when the forensic accountant sage was exposed. I just felt it was bad business practice to go public with that so started to question them. However it came as a shock to me what Tan had planned.

As I have said 40 years of blue and bluebird is what we are. To take that away to me is disrespectful and not worth all the money in China. I have documented my feelings on this many times so wont go over old ground for now. What I have not gone into much is where I fear Tan will take away a lot more of what we are. We are a Welsh club representing the surrounding area. I can see Tan turning us into a Far East commodity that will make us an oriental representation in the premier league therefore killing off our Welshness. That is my opinion.

Re: VINCENT TAN THE MAN THAT DELIVERS!

A week on from our promotion being confirmed against Charlton I am still amazed that we argue amongst ourselves about identity being lost, or there being no other option for the club to accept the rebrand blah, blah, blah.

Was I the only one inside the ground last week who witnessed the fans, in all four stands, singing "The Blues Are Going Up"
Anyone think VT could have missed that :? Whatever the reasons behind his rebrand that universal singing of "The Blues Are Going Up" shows that the fanbase are as one, that no rebrand can take away in a single stroke what Cardiff City Fans identify thier club with and that is the colour "Blue". In my opinion it will take years before we hear anything that shows acceptance of the colour "Red" in the songs that are sung inside the stadium.

Another thing that sticks in my memory of last Tuesday night is the sight og thousands on fans wanting to shake VT hand and say thank you. Yes I heard "We're Cardiff City We'll Always Be Blue" sung by diehards and that's fair enough. But thousands of fans clealry appreciate that this man has delivered, like no previous Chairman, the thing we have all dreamed of and that's football in the top tier of the football pyramid.

I am sure that Saturday in front of another CCS sellout, when our wonderful manager and team are presented with the trophy we will be singing As One "Champions" - "The Blues Are Going Up" - "Let's All Do The Malkay"

No rebrand can take that away from us but at the same time is it so wrong to accept that, Vincent Tan, has delivered our dream.
