I'm loving the jack bastards thinking there chocolate as well. You've been in the premier league two years an you think you know more about it then every c**t in the world.

Trouble is Dong he was not joking so there is no joke to go over anyones head.Tan is incapable of humour unless you count the laughing stock that he made out of the fans.

The Jacks only spent £10m when they were promoted.

Their squad and playing style was far better equipped for Premier League than we are. They just needed to tinker certain positions. We need a full overhaul.

No we dont.

We are better than a lot of the teams in the bottom half.

He's implying we can get 12 players of similar quality to Michu for £2million each.

Or is there some greater Freudian explanation that only you can see. Remember it was only a few days ago you likened me to "king kanute" so I won't hold my breath

This is your reading behind the lines interpretation I guess? As there is no suggestion of a joke in that piece. Without hearing the tone of his voice we won't be able to do anything other that take it on face value.

After all this is a guy who thinks it's viable to make us as popular as the likes of man united and Liverpool in Asia, he's not all there, probably used to throwing money at an issue and making it a success, at the end of the day if you have money it's so much easier to keep making it. I genuinely think he has no grasp of reality, especially in football terms.

I've no idea, but then I'm not sure many people get that rich without some bending of the rules. Abramovich has an interesting story to tell no doubt.

For anyone who can't click in the link, it's basically showing the underhand tactics used to make the beraja group.....

Billionaire tycoon Vincent Tan of Berjaya group and his lawyer VK Lingam were instrumental in helping “to crucify Anwar” Ibrahim in 1999 when he was tried on sodomy and abuse of power charges, according to Raja Petra Kamarudin’s source “Bukit Aman Deep Throat”.

In his latest article published at Malaysia Today, “Bukit Aman Deep Throat” related how Vincent Tan and VK Lingam earned Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s trust by helping to provide evidence against Anwar in the form of a statutory declaration by Bank Negara assistant governor Abdul Murad Khalid.

“Bukit Aman Deep Throat” said:

“To discredit Anwar, the Police, the MACC (then known as the ACA), and the AG Chambers resorted to ‘creative’ evidence gathering. One of the measures was to fabricate evidence against Anwar. Another was to extort incriminating evidence against him. And in some cases a combination of both. Some were done with the tacit approval of Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad. Some were carried out by ‘entrepreneurs’ seeking to gain favour with Dr Mahathir. Datuk Abdul Murad Khalid’s case is the most startling of them all.

“Bukit Aman Deep Throat” said the link man between Murad and Vincent Tan-VK Lingam was Adam Bachik, a former Special Branch officer turned lawyer.

Adam approached Murad, who was then facing corruption charges of failing to declare his assets, and convinced him to make accusations against Anwar, in return for which the charges would be withdrawn, “Bukit Aman Deep Throat” said.

He approached Vincent Tan’s lawyer VK Lingam, who crafted “an embellished story” in the statutory declaration. The day Murad signed the statement, he was whisked away to Singapore “in Vincent Tan’s armour-plated, bullet-proof car”, RPK’s source said, and Adam made arrangements with Immigration on both sides of the Causeway for Murad to “disappear”.

Murad Khalid’s statutory declaration was a sensation at the time, when the country’s political situation was in turmoil following Anwar’s sacking as deputy prime minister and finance minister, the formation of the Reformasi protest movement, the Asian financial crisis, the assault on Anwar by the Inspector-General, and sodomy and corruption charges being brought against him.

“Bukit Aman Deep Throat” places Vincent Tan and VK Lingam at the heart of the story, together with Musa Hassan and Gani Patail then the chief investigator and the chief prosecutor in Anwar Ibrahim’s sodomy court case, and who later became Inspector-General and Attorney-General in reward.

RPK’s source explains that this was how Vincent Tan and VK Lingam became so powerful they could influence promotions and senior appointments in the judiciary. In 2008, the two men were found by a Royal Commission of Inquiry to have fixed judges’ appointments. Dr Mahathir’s testimony at the inquiry was marked by the number of times he said “I don’t remember”. He was also asked about Vincent Tan and Lingam.

“Q. Do you know Tan Sri Vincent Tan, and what is the extent of your relationship?
Mahathir: I have known him for many years and have been to his place … we are friends.
Q. Do you know Datuk V.K.Lingam?
Mahathir: Have read about him. Only knew him lately after I engaged him to represent me in the defamation suit brought against me by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Q. Could he have been introduced to you by Vincent Tan?
Mahathir: Probably, … could have contacted him through Vincent Tan.
Dr Mahathir testifying at the Royal Commission
Bukit Aman Deep Throat said that Vincent Tan and Lingam’s help in securing the Murad Khalid statutory declaration would make them rich and powerful.

“For successfully delivering Murad, Vincent Tan became Dr Mahathir’s trusted friend and saviour. Vincent secured all the major projects from Dr Mahathir, which made Berjaya the big, strong company that it is today.
[Former Special Branch officer turned lawyer Adam Bachik] was appointed to the board of several of Berjaya’s subsidiaries and was given the conveyancing work for numerous big projects, which made him filthy rich.

VK Lingam was credited with being the architect of this ‘legal plan’ [in crafting the statutory declaration with an embellished story] and became Berjaya’s lead counsel — which saw Berjaya and Vincent Tan winning all the court cases handled by Lingam. Lingam became very rich and also powerful enough to be able to determine that his friends were strategically placed in the hierarchy of PDRM, the AG Chambers and the Judiciary.

Thus, Musa Hassan became the IGP and Gani Patail became the AG. [Musa Hassan recently retired as IGP, after two contract extensions and failing in his campaign to secure a third.]
