We'll have to see what happens but it stands to reason that with Tan's backing we can do somewhat better than those clubs with ultimately limited resources and very limited catchments.

and I can tell you that a lot of us see you as just another club who are being promoted

and be careful what you wish for all this 'with Tans backing' doesn't really mean much

There is another Malaysian owned team whos owner thought they could buy success already on the way down....

As for Tan's backing not meaning much I think you should look at the figures and how his investment has provided the basis for promotion.

I'm bemused by the fact you all think we're scared of Cardiff City coming into the Premier League. You do realise this is where the big boys play and you are certainly not one of them.

Wales only established, debt free, league cup winning, European qualified and welsh owned premier league club.

Btw has anybody heard or read a story in the media about you lot gaining promotion that doesnt compliment us. Even at your finest hour you have only achieved what we did a few years back before moving in to bigger and better things

Petrified of you lot? Do me a favour. The futures bright the futures white.

Important, biggest, best, richest are words that mean nothing. Genuine bragging rights will be claimed this time next year. For the last two years they have been yours, next season we both play off scratch. I don't count that Europa league stuff that may come back to haunt you.

I will be down the city ever game and just enjoying it, don't care if we lose every game, well that's a lie really, losing to you lot makes my life hell for a few weeks.

You didn't answer my question but then it would have surprised me if you had.

You may be aware of the concept of gearing and the ability to generate superior returns through the use of debt in conjunction with equity investment.

I don't pretend to know VT's business plan and the details of his investment strategy.
I would be absolutely certain however that it will be multi-faceted taking into account currency shifts/tax efficiency etc together with the legal issues in relation to Langston. Furthermore there is the possibility of further equity investment from other sources.

So given all that, do you think it makes any financial sense for him to turn the loans he has provided into equity seeing as he could actually purchase outstanding shares in the club and buy out other shareholders for far less than he has loaned?

If he were to do so, is he not in effect righting off tens of millions?

I believe that is linked with resolution of the Langston issue.
