Another bad day for the bitter and loony left
No, the twits that could be bothered to use a days holiday 'think otherwise'. If there was any point whatsoever to protesting in London today, I would be there. Unfortunately there isn't any point because David Cameron, not Thatcher, decided that we needed to . We shouldn't be paying for this at the moment.
However, we got to see George Osborne blubbing like a 5 year old and I for one am happy to chuck in my 20p for that.

I think you want to have a go at Tony Blair for Thatchers funeral arrangements rather than Cameron as he organised it just a thought like

Most of the usual rent-a-mob protesters wouldn't have had to to take a day's holiday..... none of them have done a day's work in their lives![]()

I am more than happy to, hes a tw*t. Plans were made 'as far back as Blair' but Cameron has made the final decision to take money away from the public with one hand and spend it on this with the other..
Maggie didn't seem to want it and 10 million (or probably more) could do a lot (not to mention the amount we wasted rushing MPs back for the parliament arse licking event last week).

10 million is small change its nothing, but any excuse to have a dig I suppose, what did it cost us as individuals what 10p each really going to miss that.
If Princess Diana deserved it, a woman who actually did something and serve this country definitely deserves it, love or hate her.

10 million is small change in macro terms but its still a lot of money.

The news just reported she planned this funeral on this scale with the current and last 2 labour governments . Shameful given the damage her policies caused to millions of working class people . Think I will plan myself a 10m funeral . Free f*cking bar for the whole of Gwent

You mean the British people from the South East, the very people who have gained from her policies in Britain.
At a single stroke thousands of people made a massive profit. But only those able to afford to buy shares - the well-off - could profit from that it was a con trick to sell back an industry which every tax payer had owned to those few who could afford to buy the shares.
Also considerthat her estate is worth about £66 million I would have thought that the funeral would come ot of that - so we paid her to earn the money, we subsidised her homes and paid her pension (and winter fuel payments and TV licence) and now we have to pay to bury her too. While other elderly folk live on a pittance and can't afford to keep warm in winter.
What a disgrace

Might have done well for yourself, another one of Maggie's shortsighted policies in my opinion. The property boom that your generation artificially created (with the help of maggie) has stalled/ruined the prospect of 'joining in' for most people aged under 28. Can't watch a night of TV these days without them telling you that your life will be sh*t unless you scrape together most of your monthly wage and spend most of it on owning a house 30 years from now. It doesn't seem to work like that in a lot of countries.

Oh brill so because we held the olympics we now should just spunk money up the wall at every opportunity. I will never forget the events I went to at the olympics, I am happy for my tax to go towards events like that. I don't want to pay for a very rich woman's funeral that no one will care to remember even next week.
