Theres also players who will probly go out on loan heres my list who i think will not cut it weather sold or loaned out or even freed up :malky:

OUT.
Parish
Connelly
Mcnaughton
Taylor
Lappin
Mcphail
Conway
Kiss
Smith
Cowie
Ralls
Helguson
Rudy
Velikonja

Think Connolly, Taylor & Rudy will stay off that list, Connolly for his versatility, Taylor because I think he's earned the right , wasn't previously a big fan but think he's been excellent last few months. Rudy, I think the novelty and surprise element he provides will mean he stays, always a decent impact player, maybe even in the Prem?
Many of the others I agree with although some only on loan.

Top half finish   oh man, deluded or what.

The Prem is about squad depth and experience. I've mentioned elsewhere that a lot of our current squad's experience players have never really cut it in the Prem. Smith, Conolly, Marshall, Hudson, Barnett, Taylor Whitts, Campbell never really cut it at the top level. Plenty of Championship level experience but at the top even Helgusson and Bellamy have truly competed.

Helgusson, from what I've heard will retire at the end of the season and go back to Iceland. His contributions this season have been among the best given his age.

Bringing in experience is a key part of any plan to keep us up and some final third quality. But a butchering of the squad would be a huge step back. We're going to need that depth in a long hard season.

Veli, Ralls, Kiss and maybe Mason could leave on loan to aid development. McPhail to become a coach and HH to retire. Beyond that I think most will stay the same.

As for your comments about Taylor, I think it's quite insulting to him and to Malky about his development as a pro in the past two years. He, along with Marshall, Gunnar, Mutch, Bellamy and Kim are the ones playing at that upper level that are getting us out of this league.

I was taking the piss with a top half finish reply due to your "Terrible fans" post, we will have to butcher the squad to stay up will we not, IMO we will have to swap/change players but you seem to think we will do ok as the reply above states, how does this warrant a "Terrible fans" first post i have no idea :malky:

We should be enjoying his moment not slating players for not being good enough. For the past was 6 years or so cardiff have been a mainstay in the top half of the Champ. The days of weekly wins are about to end and we should celebrate that.

Also last paragraph about Taylor.

The post wasn't directed soley at you.

Re: End of season - Clear out

Mon Apr 15, 2013 5:32 pm

Filip Kiss
Rudy Gestede
Heidar Helguson
Simon Lappin
Elliot Parish
Stephen McPhail

Everyone else is either useful or for the future in my opinion.

Erm cant you count? I would need another 12. 11 after a 3rd choice keeper.

QPR signed more than 11 since they been up there.

West Ham signed around 12/13 theyve done well. Southampton too.

Whats your point?

Would you rather we signed just 1 or 2 like Reading?

Thanks for the maths lesson but you need to go back to school not me you listed 12 players to keep that needs 13 more to make 25 ....if you read my post I listed 8 new signings and and 4 going is that easier for you to understand :ayatollah:

Re: End of season - Clear out

I can't see Malky bringing in more than 4 or 5. Squad harmony is important to him over most things.

Centre half, right back, ball playing genuine sitting midfield, another class forward.

I forgot about Nugent, he will have to go out with Mason, Ralls on loan.

Are you fcking pissed or crazy? I cant accept othets opinions yet you posted poking holes in MY OPINION and got the numbers all wrong, I put you right, you wont admit you were wrong so I tell you where you are wrong and now I am following you?!?!?

We will never agree. You dont like Whitts and hes my favourite player. I dont rate Rudy and you love him.

We obviously have a completely different footballing opinion.

Personally I would like to stick with as many of the current squad as possible and have a go with what we've got. Clearly, a few will change.
I left the game on Saturday thinking that team with a better striker and centre half would do alright in the prem?

I was pretty pi**ed mind.

4 or 5? No chance.

Malkys not daft. He knows this squad needs more than 4 or 5 to compete in the PL.

I would like to think the same but the truth is football is a cut throat game and to compete at the very top harsh things get done to players weather that be sold/told to leave/free transfer or whatever but all will find other clubs who move on im sure :malky:
