Also, it has come to light elsewhere that we were promoted to the old Division 1 (then equivalent to The Premier League) in 'lucky' white in 1952, so that proves yet again that Cardiff City have often totally changed their colours (even if blue was the consistent one ;) ) and that the crowd that day was over 52,000

You have your reasons for wanting to return to blue 'at all costs' (even a return to the debt-ridden obscurity of the lower divisions  ) but please don't invent things to back up your theories. That does you an injustice ;) :ayatollah:

If you think the majority of football fans would take an identity change to go top of the league, you are very very wrong. If you want some sort of proof as you always seem to claim that I have nothing to back up my posts, try listening to fans from all clubs who have visited CCS this season who have been ripping into us because of the rebrand. :thumbright:

1: It is NOT an identity change; it's a shirt colour change and we are STILL called cardiff City FC :ayatollah:

2: Fans of 'other' clubs opinions are as important to us as ours are to them, i.e. not relevant and usually aimed at winding their opponents up (I use Swansea's caravan jibes as an example) and it's not as if we would do the same to them, is it?

3: You have continually made broad statements about the so-called 're-brand' and each one is unsupported by the facts; the main one of which is that 99% have reluctantly accepted the changes in return for a successful club and that includes your good self merely by your very attendance at home games. FACT! ;) :ayatollah:

Don't lie to yourself, of course it's an identity change. An identity doesn't just include the name, you wouldn't have a photo on your passport if that was the case.

I agree, but my point is that the majority of fans from other clubs wouldn't be happy if the club changed the colours of their team's shirt. It's the same here. It's more than just an opinion because it's so obvious.

My attendance doesn't mean I've accepted the rebrand at all, so you're wrong, again. :D

Look mate, we're going around in circles on this one and I've started to warm to you :ayatollah:

Shall we call it quits on this one and simply agree to disagree? ;)

We are coming from different ends of the spectrum on this particular subject and we should be preparing to celebrate a huge event in Cardiff City's history, i.e. promotion and that's where my focus will be until we achieve it (hopefully) on Tuesday night when I might just need a handkerchief to hide away the relief of so many topsy turvy years  :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

i've got my pick n shovel! wrote:Top of our league, looking certain for promotion to the 'best league in the world', not been there for 50+ years. Yet still a proportion of fans attempt to discredit the manager, many criticise the players, a few aren't renewing their season tickets-because of the colour shirt we wear and the atmosphere at our ground-IN A PROMOTION YEAR is pathetic!!

Sometimes in my life I am embarrassed by some of our fans, this is one of those times.

Seriously, what is wrong with some of you????????

We are on the brink of promotion, it may be a once in a life time experience!!!Enjoy it for f#cks sake!!!

I think its close but if there was a poll MKdons might just beat us to that honour

I'm a wind up, always will be. I don't have anything against you, only some of your views. ;) I've always been known as someone who never backs down.

Tomorrow's going to be a special night. :ayatollah:

Me too and that is part of the issue ;) Will never be a winner/loser as they are only opinions, so time to move on :ayatollah:

Tomorrow definitely 'special' so long as we focus on the task and that is where Malky excels. Let's all get behind him and enjoy the ride that (hopefully) takes us to The Premiership before Burnley :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
