Good luck to you and others like you.
But she didn't do it for your benefit!
She didn't want the massive burden of maintenance to the UK's housing stock, preferring to pass it on to others, the legacy is massive waiting lists for council houses, and hundreds of thousands now living in atrocious conditions, at the mercy of unscrupolous landlords, with councils paying massive amounts to fulfill their obligations. The bedroom tax is now the result.
Yes good luck to you, you can come on here and shout I'm allright jack, after all that is what Thatcher wanted.

When Thatcher came to power the UK was on the road to being an economic basketcase. Bailed out by the IMF, overtaken in GDP by Italy, inflation at 17% and interest rates not much lower. The UK really was washed up.

She closed down loss making, subsidised, inefficient industries. She could have went about it a better way but this is a brute fact that is seemingly always ignored by her detractors. Her government wasn't closing down mines for fun.

The fact is her reforms, while painful, worked. Hence the UK's economic performance ever since. and hence the reason why New Labour renounced their socialist past and adopted her policies and ideology, albeit with a social democratic bent.

The UK also kicked the shit out of the Argentine military fascist junta and preserved the freedom of the Falklands Islands. The junta collapsed soon after. Strike one for liberty, killing fascists make the world happy.

Closed down inefficent industries, you were saying we are all to blame cos we didn't buy British how could we she decimated the steel and mining industries, and Britain was buying coal from Colombia , coal being mined by children (good f*cking ethics there then) she closed mines down due to her political ideaology paying them back for f*cking Ted Heath over.
You say she is the facist freedom fighter in winning the Falklands, yet she fully supported the right wing facist Pinochet in Chile

She also deregulated the banks.....that worked well
She doubled unemployment in her first 2 years causing the summer riots
She knew about the Argies in 82 yet let it fester
She sold everything but not before purchasing lots of shares at a discounted rate.
She took milk off kids in school and made a single lunch menu of burger and chips....obese britain!
She centralised everything in Whitehall
Monetrism (sic)
Poll tax
Crushed unions
Widened the rich/poor divide

Plus many more

I read it carefully. Firstly, that murdering b*stard isn't dead. Secondly, you're comparing Thatcher to him. Idiotic.

Well she certainly created the underclass that Britain has today.

She sold off all of our silverware.....British Gas, British Telecom, British Aerospace, huge blue chip company's that could have been seeing us through tough times like we are experiencing in today's Britain.

If You see Sid tell him that she suffered in her last few years and I for one believe she reaped what she sowed.

Good reddens and I hope you rot in hell. :old:

No, she closed the mines because he cost more to mine than it sold for.

That's brutal economics.

It was cheaper to put them on the dole.
