think it might have been a simple case of our red and black kit a bit too similar to the red and black in watfords strip

Yes watfords bright yellow kit and our black kit are easily confused

i think he means watfords black and red shorts

So why didn't we just change shorts

to be fair we have changed our black shorts to white when wearing red shirt but if watford wouldnt change thier black n red shorts then we couldnt use the red or black shirt

Right the Nukes dropped his phone on the way.home on the bus and Half hour later it was given back. Some said a post caused mayhem You cant trust anyoneone these days can you ?

I know because I was there trying to sleep when all hell broke out.

What was it about?

I just seen Nuc saying why we played in Blue, I didn't see anything else as my battery on my phone run out

Nukes said that the reason why VT allowed us to play in blue against Watford, was because league rules state that we had to use our designated 2nd strip at least 3 times away from home, with Watford Being the 3rd occasion!

So why was it deleted

Nukes said that Tenerife Blue had given the information and that he would update the message later!

Somebody posted the league rules, which indicated that Nukes post was bollocks!

Didn't something similar happen at the Charlton game where he put up a post of massive importance and hot breaking news, only for that to fall apart and get deleted. Hmmmmmmm

Nowt new there, Gwyn, so far as his mis-information on the 'blue' issue goes

Here is what happened on the coach, there was a debate on the coach as to why we wore blue against Watford, I felt because there was a mix of black and red in Watfords shorts and socks, there would have been a clash of colours whether we played in red or black.

It then transpired that Nukes had been told by Steve that there was a rule by the FL that stated we had to play in our 2nd kit three times during the season, Nukes then posted this on to the board.

I noticed the thread on the board whilst reading it on my phone and went up the bus and blew that theory apart

Stating we had played in blue on at least 3 occasions this season, being Bristol City, Charlton, Forest and Barnsley so the Watford game was our 5th game to date we had played in blue.

I have just checked the moderator logs and noticed that Steve deleted the topic

Guess Steve realised he gave Nukes the wrong info

I may very well be wrong myself and perhaps the ref would not have deemed our black or red kit a clash but whatever the reason I am glad that we played in Blue.

There we go ladies and gentlemen, the truth is out there.

Whatever happened, it certainly wasn't true that Tan had banned the blue kit

I thought we might wear it as we would look a lot clearer in blue than red against Watford who have always had red & black trim on their kits.

But maybe they chose it to devalue the signifcance of the blue balloons. Didn't look as bad because we were wearing blue, very clever from the club
