Re: Langston due a wedge on promotion?

Sam is Langston as we're all aware!
Tan & Co had forensic financial analysts scour through the history etc. Tan must have something up his sleeve and I believe he has. He's a very shrewd business man & I think he obliterate Sam & Langston.

Onwards & upwards :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

f**k you Sam

Whats the point of going for it by now if there is nothing in the pot?

Because he could secure the judgment by issuing a charge on it so that when money is paid to Cardiff City Holdings he would get his money.

Believe me, it is not cut and dried that Sam will get anything if he went to court which is why he hasn't. Tan may well pay him off to save himself time and legal expenses but read the last High Court Judgment transcript and you'll see that tere is no certainty for either side if this went to court.

I would bet that this does get resolved in the summer but at nowehere near some of the figures being banded about :ayatollah:

And Tan then decides to avoid promotion?

Sam would be best to wait for promotion before making shown his intentions.

And Tan really looks like he's avoiding promotion at the moment  :laughing5:

As someone else posted earlier, the more money we owe Tan the weaker Sam's position becomes. I would repeat, there is absolutely no certainty that Sam will get a judgment if he goes to court, they both know that and this is simply brinkmanship by two very stubborn businessmen. The trouble is, rightly or wrongly, the sums of money in dispute for Tan are small and therefore he is much more likely to be able to afford to gamble than Sam.

Just my opinion, of course, but I think there is more to this than anyone on this message board knows and there is nobody here with any knowledge of what VT's plan is for this money, merely those who have Sam's side of the story.

There is no certainty that Sam would NOT win if it went to court. However I would tend to favour him as during the last summary judgement it was declared a resolution should be made as soon as possible. We know Sam has made a deal of which the club has turned down. The deal was a very good one and I would say the court will look favourable on Langstone and could offer them the order. Then again if the forensics have come up with anything then the table could turn.

I just think it is going to make for an interesting summer.

Agreed, but similarly there is no certainty that Sam would win and I still feel VT can afford to gamble more than Sam can.

The judgment also stated something along the lines of "there is every prospect of the Defendants (the club) filing a valid defence to the action".

As I said, we just don't know. The only people who do are Langston and VT and, hopefully, the next, and only, thing we will hear will be that the matter has been resolved without the necessity of a court case.

£5m going to Langston not Sam.

I wish that VT had honoured his offer of £10m plus £5m promotion bonus, PMG settled and Sam Hammam becoming life president, this offer was made in late March/early April.

Only VT knows why the offers then changed to the three that were made public.

As much as I would like to see this settled one way or another, we as fans should concentrate on the football for the time being as promotions like this don't come around every season.

Carl, I curious as to your sudden change in tune. Every match is important on a promotion run up yet it wasn't too long ago yourself and Annis were bleating on about this. Is Sam not in such a strong position any more or is there truth to come out regarding his dodgy dealings?

Natman ive tryed to get replys in here tbh but nobody wants to talk of it as we play football only on here now and of course if you talk of this your either a doom and gloom guy or wanting to derail the team on the pitch some seem to think this would really happen which really cracks me up when i see such replys like these two things ive mentioned  :malky:
