Yeah, like they were queueing up to take us over in 2010

The Malaysians only took a gamble, nothing stopping any other business man doing the same,if u like red that's your choose, not that I respect your decision to do so

Of course they took a gamble. That's what people like Tan do but the simpe fact is that no-one else came in at a time when they were needed, so your comment is simply daft ;) :ayatollah:

Depends what you call best interests. Mine are the identity of the club and we have lost that since the start of this season. In fact I cannot ever see us returning to what everyone associates us with.

Re: QUESTION FOR PRO-BLUES

obviously the answer will always be yes to the "pro blues" btw I hate that pro blues and pro reds saying how about calling everyone Cardiff fans with a difference of opinions! no matter what you're beliefs are on the rebrand you are still a supporter of Cardiff city, i hated the idea at first then after rethinking and weighing all options up i came to conclusion that it was only option we had to survive so i let tan get on with things BUT if the BLUEBIRD goes then i will not be happy but i wont let the colour of the home shirt make me be bitter to tan or the clubs fans aslong as there is a bluebird and we are called Cardiff city we should all get along.

Without question. I'd give anything for our club back! The promotion about to be gained feels quite hollow in red TBH

The reality of the situation is that if VT hadn't come in in 2010, we would in all likelihood have ceased to exist or at best ended up at least a couple of divisions lower than the Championship in a very quick space of time.

The situation last summer was even worse, and if VT had "looked for other buyers" as he'd said he was going to if the changes had not been made, the reality is that no other buyers would have been found (as we would have been in a far worse situation than the one we were in in 2010), and we would have ended up being liquidated - at least, that's my honest view of the situation, and I can't see logically how anyone else can take a different view - the usual response is to say VT said that wouldn't happen, but only a fool of a businessman would continue to waste a million pounds of his money a month on a failing business, and whatever you think of VT, I don't think many would say he's a business fool.

The colour for me is no big deal, and I still believe that it will be a number of years before we see the benefit of the change to red, as we need to become established in the Premiership first, but I firmly believe that VT has a long term, not a short term plan to make our club truly great.

I suppose its a simple matter of do you trust VT's business acumen - I do, but many others clearly don't and would prefer to be in blue whatever the consequences - I fully respect their views, but will never agree with them.

Surely we are all pro blues aren't we? I mean surely to god there wasn't a single City fan that wasn't delighted to see us play in our real colour yesterday?

The OP like many many others is under the impression that without the rebrand investment to the team would have not happened. My opinion is that was a scare tactic.

From where? and why would they not have come forward when we were likely to be wound up?

Tan needs us in the premier be it to either see his vision through or cut his losses. If we remained in the championship or went out of business that would be too much of a loss of face for Tan.

From the Malaysians gwyn . No good business rational behind off field changes . Asian market bollocks . Cardiff and valleys catchment is f*cking huge never mind Asia . Good reason why much bigger clubs that hours have never gone for the Malaysian market . Mike Ashley is a shrewd business man , don't see the Geordies playing in red . Much bigger club / potential

That's because you're thinking in a small minded way - with VT in charge of us, we can be much bigger than Newcastle.

Depends what you call best interests. Mine are the identity of the club and we have lost that since the start of this season. In fact I cannot ever see us returning to what everyone associates us with.

But we haven't lost our identity. We are still Cardiff City FC and have simply 'evolved' in order to progess. That's nature ;)

As for "what people associate us with" I think even you will agree that there are many 'associated' things the club (and most supporters) will be only too glad to leave behind :ayatollah:
