Re: ' BLUE BALLOONS AT WATFORD '

This is a statement to the world of football minus any spin.

If we let off more than 100 it will send a message to the football world, if we let off several hundred, well...........

VT fcuked up on red Tuesday, many (me) suddenly jumped ship that evening. I was quietly getting on with my life, a reluctant red. I found Biggwyns constant pro red posts a little tedious, but the sellouts posts from the blue brigade condescending and equally repetitive, so I stayed out and waited for the odd football post. That night reinforced a lingering doubt that VT hasn't got a clue what he is doing and is so misinformed anything may happen.... Cardiff Dragons sounded stupid but so was the thought of us playing in red this season.......

Go for it boys, it will only last a few minutes on tele, but will it make a statement that is not rude.

Yes, anything blue will surely distract them...

Next you'll be wanting fans not to wear blue shirts - as we wouldn't want to distract the players..

It will distract because it's blatantly a protest against the red. If you were releasing red & blue balloons then it would be fine.

What a load of absolute cobblers. Balloons are exactly the same, whatever colour they are. Unless you are seriously suggesting that the colour blue is that much of a distraction?!

If a simple colour isn't a problem then why is everyone so worked up about Red Tuesday?

Are we letting them off? Don't have a clue why or what we doing with them?

You're the one claiming that blue is a distraction and red isn't... As for why red Tuesday was bad? Quite simple - our club's traditional colour is blue...

I can understand the blue shirts but why oh why are you happy to release blue balloons. What do you think you will achieve by this? Ridiculous. Watford fans will love it though.

I will be at Watford, I will be wearing Blue but will not be blowing up balloons to protest at a very important game for Cardiff City.

My argument is that blue balloons will be seen as a fans protest and may unsettle the players. You told me that balloon colour's don't matter.

May I ask you that if balloon colours don't matter then why don't people get behind CCFC and have red balloons as well.

The problem with just blue is that although blue is a loved and important part of our history, currently we mainly play in red.

Re: ' BLUE BALLOONS AT WATFORD '

Some of the responses to this thread are unbelievable...we're f*cking Cardiff City 'The Bluebirds', and we're planning on supporting OUR team with the colour of OUR team i.e Blue.

We are not red, a fella who is currently pumping dollar into the club is calling the shots and made our first team kit red, as its his money that is navigating the ship - don't agree with it one bit but we've had no choice other than to roll with it - this does not mean though that we are red and that our support suddenly changes, whats the matter with people?

Traditions; identity etc etc will last longer than one man's stay at the club - we'll be back blue sooner than we know it, what are these pro reds who are actively against the Blue going to do then?

I repeat one man has changed the colour of our first team kit, he has not changed everything we have the power to hold and promote - our Blue/Bluebird history and culture. The core of our support who will still be there long term know this, and as soon as Tan is gone so will the red. Stop supporting the club in the manner we have done for years an years for one man? No. The club is bigger than any one person, and that club is Blue, always has been always will be.

Because no pro rebrand thread has ever been made a sticky Nukes (and there have been many of them over the last year).

This is not even-handed and not representative of the views of our fan base at all - in fact, not even representative of the views of posters on this mb, as I think this board is pretty much split 50/50 between pro-blue and pro-change posters.

If this persists for another season or two, I think this board could lose a lot of good posters, if the pro-change posters feel the same as me, and I've always loved this board, and that would be a real shame.

f*cking grow up mate, we are cardiff city, the bluebirds, we should be playing in Blue, that is our tradition, get over it with your red shite it's getting boring. :ayatollah:

I can't understand why some fans are so against us supporting the boys in our traditional colours, like you said we're Cardiff City we should be playing in blue, I'm taking blue balloons not as a protest but to keep our colour alive.

Correct it's not a protest it's to show we still care and to remind the world we are Blue really, hopefully Gwyn will be one of the first to be proudly wearing the Blue as after all he is a reluctant Red and deep down I know he is really Blue :ayatollah:

I never said that blue balloons aren't fine - you are putting words in my mouth. I said that blue balloons on their own will be taken as a protest and affect the team. Red & blue balloons are fine and I would rather see both than just red or blue.

That's obviously not what I think, you should know that a players psyche is one of the most important part of the game and if that is unsettled in any way it can do damage to their performance and I feel this has potential to unsettle the team at our biggest game of the season.

But also one of our better home performances this season, better than many of our wins, just unlucky on the night.

You should know that a player isn't going to perform badly because of a few poxy balloons.

Blue balloons would be a distraction yet red and blue are fine?! What planet are you on?! :laughing6:

Red & blue would be supporting Cardiff as they are our actual colours at this time. Just blue would clearly be seen as a protest against Tan and your comments in this thread prove that is indeed the case.
