If America go in we will back them up if they need it as we are all part of NATO, like said it will probably be all air strikes an despite the vast number of aircraft the US have we have the best Air Force in the world(not biased just I'm in the RAF so I have to say that haha) with the best pilots an they Americans will agree with that.

If the un decides to invade and Russia and china don't support north Korea then even with nearly 1 million crappy conscripted troops they're screwed. I believe the USA would assist in non-comabatant ways if it was an EU country which was attacked and there would be an EU alliance quickly drawn up to show solidarity not only for the benefit of the North Koreans but also for the Russians (who have a vested military business interest in North Korea)

There is one non-EU country that wants to flex its substantial military muscle (Israel) and they would have the backing of the USA (whether it was ever madeofficial or not)

Let's hope it doesn't come to that, eh?

Very real threat of war here but there are many are like orcs, high in numbers with shit equipment. They got a few nukes but nowhere near the range required to get to the USA. They will not bomb Japan or South Korea with a nuke as it's right on there doorstep.

The Russians will back the the US/South Koreans without doubt! China are deep in talks with the US on Korea and do not want it to esculate at all. If it did they will also back the US.

It is world wide known that the US train the Israelian military at certain levels, and also have a substantial financial backing within the Israelian military so will always back Israel in times of conflict unless most major powers disagreed.

There is no need for an EU alliance. Most forces have a vested NATO interest. So NATO would normally take the lead.

Air strikes wont be sufficient enough to take out North Korea's nuclear program and a land invasion is not going to happen with China so close.

Its all just more talk and provocation. If the USA do get drawn into it like idiots then they only have themselves to blame when thousands die near Pyongyang. There is not a chance in hell China are going to let the USA place an army anywhere near its border which is what it will be doing if they try and land near or attack Pyongyang.

This is just yet another new leader mouthing off which always happens whenever they get one. These threats are nothing new. Its been going on for 60 years. Its the big I am speech to announce himself on the international stage and make himself recognised. The Senate and British Government should be well aware of this and if they do attack they only have themselves to blame from not learning from historical episodes. A bully throwing his toys out of the pram to get sanctions on the country he rules softened. The best thing to do is ignore them.

China and the US are getting on pretty well at the moment. The US have had for the last few months and are continuing to have alot of very high political figures going over for meetings, North Korea is very high on the agenda within these meetings. And for what has been said, it's a lot more positive than negative.

Air dominance and air strikes will be enough to make North Korea come to its senses, but as always it will need boots on the ground. But the US have had military bases in South Korea, Japan etc for many years and are becoming more Asian led. This hasn't come about on a whim or because its the new guy in charge, this has been coming for a good few years. You can't ignore them as the states are allies of the south and they wouldn't want to ignore the north building up an armoury.
