Inside or outside it should have been an indirect free kick from interpretation of the still pictures.
Haven't seen it again yet in motion to see if i'll change my mind!

Hi,
I'm new to the forum. Just to clear this up, dangerous play without contact is punishable with an indirect free kick. If there is contact then dangerous play is punishable with a direct free kick or a penalty. How neither official can see it's inside the box is beyond me...

This is correct, I stupidly never took the contact interpretation of the law into account.

We have the same referee this Saturday at Fulham. He's been promoted to the Premiership somehow despite missing decisions like this! Oh dear!
