Actually it notoriously happens a lot in Bundesliga/Serie A and Turkish games. Fans will chuck flares on the pitch in celebration of a goal. No one get's hurt.

Wolves done it at posh aswell, it's just a bit of fun.
My all time favourite, has gotta be Eskisehirspor protesting the FA ban on flares by using a massive "Troll Face" banner and lighting flares under it.

I don't understand why people are getting so worked up about it, aslong as its controlled and no one gets hurt by it, it's just a little bit of fun?
