8 points clear of 3rd with 2nd and 3rd playing each other tomorrow.

That means if we pick up 1 point a game in our remaining games..... And assuming hull pick up the required 12 points to overtake us...

that means either Watford will have to get 16 points from a possible 21 and even then will have to rely on goal difference just to overtake us or Palace will have to get 19 points out of 21.

We are promoted enjoy it.

Saying it how it is. I've never doubted we'd go up, the league is woeful. All the contenders didnt win again today - that seems to happen every week.

Re: KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON

Mon Apr 01, 2013 6:50 pm

How people can describe the league as woeful when they don't even go and watch matches is beyond me. As always the league is so competitive that any team can beat another, whatever the position in the table. The gaps between teams are smaller than in the prem which makes it such a hard league to get out of. If any thing there are better players every year as more foreigners join the prem so British players move down. Plus the championship casts its net wider than ever before in the search for talent.

To simply use terminology such as its a woeful league shows ignorance and a complete lack of football knowledge. Consistent with certain posters on here.

Ah well that's off my chest and nobody will change my mind. Now to focus on the positives from today as opposed to getting bogged down with wum's.

ThInk you may lose the consensus on this one

It's woeful because the relegated teams are in turmoil, we haven't played well all season and are 11 points clear of 3rd. There is no getting around it, the league is a poor standard which most people seem to acknowledge. Just because I don't go anymore it doesn't mean I don't watch the games thanks to tan and his streaming, and the quality has been terrible.

However I do find it funny you stating "lack of footballing knowledge" when you think Carzola has made Arsenal worse, Liverpool only changed to red in the 60's and Chelsea are doing worse in the league this year even though last year they finished 6th and this year are 4th

You are just kidding yourself - which of course is your right to do.

Ok I'll bite on this one. Relegated teams are in turmoil as they haven't adjusted to football in the championship. Blackburns squad is quality, but they don't know how I win games at this level. Other points:
1. I didn't say carzola made arsenal worse. LIAR
2. I've never posted anything about Liverpool changing colours, in the 60s or any decade you care to mention - LIAR
3. I never said Chelsea were doing worse in the league - LIAR

For you to say we haven't played well all season is complete rubbish. Our form for the past couple of months has been poor but all season? Fool.

The fact you need to lie about what's been posted in order to somehow get one up on somebody shows how pathetic you really are. Laughable. I pity you. You're a stay at home jack who has never supported Cardiff city, thinks he knows football by reading stats and twists what people post to suit your own childish, perverted pathetic agenda. Grow up and f**k off, of course only after you've come back with some nonsense that ill ignore.

Take care :laughing6:

I'm off out now but ill be back in a few hours and will reply to you and will provide quotes. Anyone that's interested can look in his post history though, he said it yesterday

The fact the relegated teams are stuggling is coz they aren't very good I'm afraid, nt knowing how to win is a pretty bad trait for a team don't you think  our closest rivals are hull, Watford and palace FFS. You are kidding yourself.

There aren't many that claim this to be a wrong league because its clearly not.

Re: KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON

Surely its totally irrelevant what standard the teams are in the league? simple fact is we are the best in league (whos top?) its that simple, arguments over quality is plain stupid as everyone knows the 2 top teams are promoted! and that is what history will say?

Let me help you with what I said and what you reckon I said (from the thread "This really is an awful league"):
Re Carzola
I wrote: "Carzola to Arsenal but has the team improved?"
Paxmans version: "you think Carzola made Arsenal worse"

Re Chelsea
I wrote: "Chelsea and Arsenal are average by their standards"
Paxman's version: "Chelsea are doing worse in the league this year"

As you can see, you twist what's said to suit your pathetic game but it simply makes you A LIAR.

But my favourite part is where you reckon I said that "Liverpool only changed their kit in the 60's". Well good luck finding a quote from me on that because it was an entirely different poster you thick tw*t.

So no we won't chat later or at all, as you are a boring liar who has made himself to look a right prick. Again.

See ya :laughing6:

The above clearly states that you think Chelsea are weaker than last year and hazard hasn't made a positive impact. Yet they finished 6th last year and are currently 4th so you are simply incorrect. Arsenal haven't improved because van Persie left and carzola was signed after van Persie left, so you are basically saying arsenal without carzola are a better team than with him - otherwise of course he has improved the team. So again you are wrong. You state teams that are weaker (even thoug they clearly aren't) yet completely ignore the likes of man united, Swansea, Everton, liverpool and Tottenham who have improved from last season and have signed some world class talent. Your argument is flawed.

As for your Liverpool have only been red since the 60's thread, which was probably the most ridiculous of the lot (although stating a team performed worse this season when they are higher and with better players is pretty ridiculous as it is) it seems to have been deleted, you must have really grovelled to the mods

Chuckles commented on it though, as did one of the jacks (NJ or waddle) and found it equally ridiculous, so we have witnesses and your delete request won't save your blushes I'm afraid

If I were to dream up a line to try and belittle Cardiff City's impending promotion to the Premier League, quite possibly as Champions, I might diss what is an extremely competitive league. If I didn't go to any games and couldn't possibly make a proper judgement that wouldn't bother me.

Im not bothered what you would do. It's blatantly obvious its a weaker league than most years. None of the 'big teams' are playing well this year and unusually all three prem clubs that have come down have been in utter turmoil on and off the pitch, one may even find themselves in league 1 next year. Week after week our fans have said "we were lucky to win" or "when will we actually play well" yet we are 11 points off 3rd and that third placed team is Watford closely followed by crystal palace

I would say the standard of both premiership and championship is poor this year for some reason.
one of the worst man utd teams for years is 15 points clear at the top in front of a team which on paper most of the squad is stronger than the leaders.

It's the same team as last year that went to the wire with a phenomenal man city outfit but with Kagawa and van Persie added. It's mental to think otherwise. It's an incredibly strong premier league this year. Southampton have had to spend £36 million just to compete and they still aren't anywhere near safety.

You're right PA. Chelsea paid £50m for Torres so he's their best player. Oh actually wait a minute...................
Liverpool paid £36m for Carroll and he's a kop favourite. Oh wait another minute
It's one thing to name players but what about considering how well they have settled into the team, do they fit into the system, how have existing players performed (e.g average vs last season such as Rooney, da Silva, aguero) players that have left (e.g. modric), what about injuries (e.g Newcastle have been decimated at times, hugely influential players like Vidic and Kompany missing games). It goes on but ultimately it comes down to opinion.

Alas some on here seem to base their opinion on computer games and because he's got 5 stars and cost £x million he must be brilliant in real life

Re: KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON

Wed Apr 03, 2013 6:33 am

Yet Chelsea are 4th and Liverpool 7th...

Both teams already have a solid base of a squad worth millions, if someone is a flop then so be it, not much changes. Surely you are not comparing the spending of Liverpool and Chelsea and how they fare to that of a newly promoted team? That is certainly odd logic.

Southamptons squad was a championship squad, just like ours. They signed pretty well in fairness and brought in a superstar in gaston ramires, yet their £36 million of signings still only make their team up to competing standard and are still in a relegation battle. Reading on the other hand didnt spend e required amount to improve their championship squad and are in a whole world of trouble.

Signing well as a newly promoted club and signing well when established have vastly differing outcomes. The bulk of the money Malky spent went on two players who can't get a regular run in the side....

I didnt, I based it on the players that have come into the league.

Weigh up who's come in and who's left the premier league in the last 12 months.... Off the top of my head Balotelli leaving is the only one of note. Who's come in? Carzola, hazard, Oscar, Michu, Kagawa, coutinho, Ramirez etc etc

It doesn't take a genius to work out the prem is stronger for it.
