You have said Chelsea and arsenal are weaker but ignored the likes of spurs, man united and Swansea are stronger.
Since last year where the champions of Europe were English only Balotelli has left the league of any note and the likes of hazard, carzola and Michu have been added. The league is certainly stronger.
To base a nations league on one knock out competition is seriously flawed.

The standard of the Premier League is just as excellent as ever. Teams like Man City can't even get a sniff and they are full of the likes of Aguero, Tevez, Yaya, Silva etc etc

If the premier league is so good this year then why is Man United the only team who look like winning the title? You talk nonsense.

So how have Man .city got worse when their team is the same? The premier league has lost no stars of any note but gained the likes of Hazard, Carzola, Michu, podolski, benteke, sahin, etc etc

I con only think of Balotelli leaving the Prem of any note.

Sahin? He was on loan and didn't do well at Liverpool, been brilliant for Dortmund though. :D

Yes that's right, I meant continuo. The fact these players have come in naturally means its a stronger league, there's quality right through the top 10.

Coutinho has been a bargain buy for Liverpool and brilliant. I think Giroud is a quality striker, not many people rate him.

Giroud is another I forgot about good shout, as is Gaston Ramirez.

People I think are trying to convince themselves that the prem is weaker to mask any concerns how we will fare if promoted from an obviously weaker championship.

I have enjoyed watching the Premier League games this season in honesty.

Michael Carrick and Cleverley been outstanding.

Gareth Bale has proved he is right up there in terms of World Class.

Luis Suarez been showing he can play Striker and been class.

Everton have been great.

Southampton finally getting results which they deserve because they play some fantastic Football.

Reading have under estimated the strength of the PL to their cost. The pl is a stronger league this year no doubt. Apart from city and arsenal or and Newcastle I would say everybody else is stronger. Every week its a real tough game and every win feels like s big achievement.

I've no doubt it's a very tough league and that won't change. Tbh it's all opinion as to whether its stronger or weaker and for every plus there can be a minus. Man U are running away with it, man city, arsenal and Chelsea are average by their standards (3 out of the big 5) but perhaps it's because other teams have got stronger. Having said that newcastle have been hammered with injuries so a poorer team, Villa are rebuilding and have struggled. liverpool still rebuilding and have struggled at times, especially early season. Who knows.

Some on here have cited certain players coming into the league as evidence it's stronger - nonsense. Hazard has gone into Chelsea and are they better than last season? Carzola to arsenal but has the team improved? Good players yes but it's about the team and as players come in, others wane. For example, Da silva and Toure aren't having the impact of last season.

More observation than anything else and like I said I've no doubt it's a very tough league and under no illusion that IF Cardiff make it we will do very well to finish 17th.

You don't think carzola has improved arsenal? they aren't doing as well as usual as they have lost Van Persie, or didnt you realise that? Yet he stayed in the league and made man united stronger, hence why they are a cut above city this year. Incredibly strong league, stupid to say otherwise I'm afraid.

As for Chelsea - they finished 6th last year and are currently 4th. So yes I'd guess hazard has improved them too.
