I don't WANT you or anyone else to walk away, JonCCFC :?

For you to think so shows you haven't read my posts properly (nothing new there)

What I have said (to refresh your selective memory) is that it is time for people to accept OR walk away IF they feel they can no longer tolerate the changes ;)

Nukes (someone I like ;) ) is vociferous in his opposition to the red and says he is heartbroken. That may be so, but is he heartbroken enough to have the courage of his convictions and walk away from the club he has supported for a long long time?

It wouldn't appear so, as he has apparently renewed his season ticket; so by default he has (no matter how reluctantly) accepted the red by default JUST LIKE YOU ;) :laughing6: :ayatollah:

I'm not just talking about you, I'm talking about all supporters of the rebrand in general. They always say how we should just walk away or move on just because we're against the rebrand, but the majority of us 'pro-blues' don't want to and they need to get used to the fact that we will never be happy with the changes and we will always be blue. Everyone has a different opinion at the end of the day and they need to be respected (both sides of the argument), unless of course they're abusive.

Just because I've renewed my season ticket, it doesn't mean I've accepted the rebrand at all, it just means I'm still supporting my club. :ayatollah:

Sven i have not excepted it. But i hope beyond hope that we return to our rightful colours and i will keep on trying. Maybe in vain or maybe not. If we are not converted by the season after then i would seriously consider my position and go and watch AFC Cardiff or maybe nothing at all. But i ain't giving up yet.
Trying to get people like you to understand that is impossible mate. The likes of the 12th man and Jon most probably feel like me. We will walk when we are good and ready but the more that say why don't you just go the more i want to stay.

JonCCFC, thank you for pointing that out but EVERONE who purchases a ticket for next season is accepting the re-brand by default and my whole point is that if we are there we need to concentrate on (as you say) simply supporting the team :ayatollah:

Nukes, your very purchase of a season ticket means you HAVE reluctantly acccepted BUT that is not to say you won't continue to want a return to the blue. I think we all want that :ayatollah:

For you to say you will re-consider after a year is very confusing and suggests that you (like the majority) want to watch us in the Premiership above all else because you surely can't believe in your wildest dreams that Tan will revert to blue in that time? :?

I'm really not having a go at you as a person nor am I mocking your anti-red stance as such. I am just confused as to what people GENUINELY expect to change in 12 months because it will only go one way, I'm afraid :(

Last post on the subject from me (on any Rd/Blue debate) and I genuinely wish you luck in your quest, as I do believe you are passionate on the subject :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

This is my point, petty bickering when we all clearly want the same thing.
No one wanted Red. We will always be blue. But the most important thing is CARDIFF CITY!!!

Nukes, I admire your passion but can't you see that continuing to go you are funding tan to carry on changing things? You also must realise that the more that is changed the more unlikely we will ever go back to blue as the expense of doing so goes up and up to reverse it.

Tan is a businessman. He deems his decisions a success or failure by how much money he brings into the club, by you handing over £400 he takes that as a supporter of the red regardless of what you feel about it.

I'd seriously question why anyone who actively wants blue back but still hands over his cash, it's counter productive.

Can you see that?

If Nukes does not renew then Tan can sell his seat fora lot more money. At least Tan is denying Tan extra dosh.

I think you mean nukes is denying tan extra money?

The point is he would be giving Tan his vote, in Tans eyes at least. A renewal is far more valuable to the vision than a newbie. The renewals have basically told tan that the rebranding thus far has been tolerated and accepted enough that they will continue as normal. This gives him the power to continue to implement more changes, which will undoubtedly happen.

If the colour doesn't bother you then that's fine, renew with your conscience clean. If it does bother you but you are putting prem football before e club then again that's fine (old fella admits this openly)... However by renewing and claiming you haven't accepted it is just kidding yourself. In tans eyes, there is very little difference, if any in fact - in handing over your £400 whether you hate the rebrand or handing it over if you fully back it.

Re: Lets have a truce and get behind Cardiff city.

Mon Apr 01, 2013 1:52 am

Tan won't care what you do so not renewing won't make a difference.

He's said himself, if 75% of the people are happy then that's fine. If you are making up part of that 75% then you can't really have any complaints.

If everyone stopped going the rebrand wouldn't happen. That much is obvious.

Paxman i can see what you are saying but if i give up my seat some red neck plastic will take my place. But how are we going to fight our cause or be a voice on the terrace if we are not there. ? I firmly believe that the blue brigade can get bigger and louder but we need these voices at the games. How hard is it to see the logic in this argument.
Me buying my season ticket at my reduced rate aint going to effect how much money goes into the club because if i didnt renew some Man U loving dickhead would snap it up in an instant.
But Sven next season is make or break in our identity issue that is why i am giving it one more season to see how i feel then. But it was heartening to hear City fans singing we'll always be blue on Saturday. We are getting louder but if all those didnt follow the city how the hell are we going to be heard. Not renewing is the prefered option of the pro red group another reason to renew.
Those are my reasons

No surprise that this has turned into another one of those threads I guess.
The next chapter will follow the Blackburn game with the season ticket renewals . Watch this space ;)
